Default Clayton reported Oakland "may" cut Garcia?

John Clayton apparently reported that Oakland could potentially cut Garcia as he's unhappy in a backup role....

He's a talented QB and filled in well for the Eagles when Mcnabb went down a few years ago... but he seems to have screwed himself with several teams. Why would the raiders bench Russell unless he was abominably awful?

That would be a foolish move by Oakland.

Garcia is a gamer....put him the game and he will do his thing and give you a 100% gritty effort.

Raiders cut Jeff Garcia
Posted by Mike Florio on September 5, 2009 6:18 PM ET
The plan was for quarterback Jeff Garcia to push starter JaMarcus Russell, the first pick in the 2007 draft, to get better.

Plan B was for Garcia to win the job.

Plan C, as it turns out, was for Garcia to not make the team.

Per a league source, Garcia has been cut.

He had a decent showing in the third preseason game against the Saints, generating a triple-digit passer rating.

If he came to Denver, he would be bringing his wife.

Are you guys sure you don't want him?

If we had somebody to cut (i.e., NOT Brandstater) I'd sign Garcia and make him #1 immediately.

But I will gaurantee he is better than "Brandy" at this point.

If the other 2 are injured we may want to give him a call.

For those of you who are too young to remember, the first two pics are of Rock Hudson with two leading ladies of his time-Doris Day and Elizabeth Taylor. The third pic is of him and his wife, who he later divorced.

Rock Hudson was gay and died of AIDS.

Jeff Garcia is EXACTLY the type of QB our O needs.

Our O NEEDS a good veteran who can manage the game well.

Play Garcia, while Brandy learns behind him for a year.

Seriously, what have we to lose? He can't be that expansive. And he is a FA, so no draft picks lost.

GET IT DONE... McD....
