Matt Prater
Default Brag about your Adopt a Bronco Here

Prater baby.

7-7 on field goals with a long of 53 yds
5-5 on extra points
17 kickoffs with 7 touchbacks (league leader)
64.6 yards per kickoff average (league leader for those with at least one on side kick attempt)
9 kickoffs returned for only 15.4 yards per return (league leader)

A case could be made for him having the best preseason of anyone in a Broncos uniform. Maybe not bringing in any competition this offseason gave him an extra boost of confidence.

Here's to hoping that he can keep this up all season long.

Champ Bailey,

Might be losing his step now, but in his prime, one of the best CB's ever.

In an era where CB's and DB's have no room for "contact" because every little contact with a WR is a huge penalty, Champ still remained dominant and put up huge interception numbers even though the rules of the NFL were set against him. Nobody wanted to throw at him. You combine those coverage skills with his tackling ability and ability to make big hits and run support, that makes him one of the best.

I think my adopt a bronco is still Mike Shanahan... (I should probably update that one of these days)

But for the sake of this thread... He spent the offseason vacationing with his good buddy Slowick. Not sure why but that's what he did.

The Mighty McChesney could have won that game single handed last night. He can play every position on the field. They're just holding him in reserve for when the real season begins.

I was very impressed that the Mighty McChesney didn't throw a single INT either.

"Old Spongefoot" was a nickname we gave ring of fame "Jim Turner" in the early "80", it was a "terms of endearment" nickname.

Best blocking TE in the game. A receiving threat as well.

Mine was waived, ah well it was a long shot anyway, but I think he would have been great for his attitude and outlook if nothing else. Does Chris Baker need a co-adopter?

well mine didn't play last night but I swear I saw him on the sideline working on his 5 step drops.

1,2,3,4,5 .... checkdown. He couldn't throw a ball but he looked good pretending. He found Royal on the LOS right hash mark all night long.... so, money!!
He also made a great play to Moreno in the flats. He was picked in the red zone though on a 12 yard out. During halftime he was doing curls and shoulder flys to try and work on his natural arm strength.

I'd say it was a good game.

He did some good things and theirs some stuff we need to go back to the film and look at.

Doing a decent job holding the point which is key to our improved run defense. He is also very active for a big man! Don't know how long he can hold off Baker though. The two make a nice tandem at an area that was one of our biggest concerns.
