Default I can't seem to Reconcile this

McDaniels is a big giant liar this has been stated adnasium by a significant portion of this board. And as he is the Antichrist he drove Cutler out of town. I can totally understand this line of thinking especially considering the lack of communication during the early part of the scandal coming out of dove valley. But here is where I am twisted. When Cutler finally comes back to Denver and the meeting doesn't go well. What is the big hang up? McDaniels will not tell Cutler he won't trade him. So if McDaniels is such a big poopy liar why would he not tell one more?

Or he could have been telling the truth the whole time.

Actually, the biggest problem is not the refusal to guarantee that he wouldn't trade him in the future. The biggest problem, in my estimation at least, is that the team is asking for communication on one hand and is leaking inflammatory material on the other hand to change the dynamics of the PR game. It's not an act of good faith and as a result, refusing to communicate with them is a wholly appropriate response, especially when it appears that their pleas for communication were nothing more than a pretext and PR-based manuever, rather than a genuine effort to reconcile. Were this not the case, 1) they simply would have waited for the mandatory minicamp that Jay said he would appear at and 2) Bowlen would have exerted the minimal physical effort required to walk through (at a brisk pace even) about four rooms.

I'm glad that Jay refused to even acknowledge them or talk to them, as it is unwise to throw pearls before swine.

Who cares anymore...

As I've said before the true stupidity starts and ends with the act of trading him.

What happened before that is about as interesting as a day time Soap.

You pretty much had it. Unfortunately you missed the part where McD gets off on these dick measuring contests and opportunities to try and look smart... 0-4 (not pre-season, that's Goodmans, Cutler, free agency and the draft) so far and getting worse.

The minute you throw out the phrase "good faith" and somehow puzzle Cutler on the right side of that equation you've gone off to non-relevant land.
