OT - Los Angeles firse cause 911 calls in Boulder - The Orange Mane

Anybody see this in Denver/Boulder? Health warnings in Colorado -1000 miles away - for smoke inhalation.

Denver skyline:

The sun sets behind the Denver skyline Tuesday evening in a reddish sky colored by fires from as far
west as those around Los Angeles. A health advisory warned those in northwestern and north-central
Colorado that the air is full of smoke and unhealthy for some. (Karl Gehring, The Denver Post)

Talked to a friend who works in Glendale, a large northern suburb. The fire is 2-3 miles away, but the smell is stifling and he swears he can feel the heat.

Driving to work yesterday the whole city was in a haze, the usual clear Flatiron mountains were almost completely obscured. Had to close the bedroom windows. Very strange.

Huh? No you cannot feel the "heat" all the way from california. This just in...sunsets are orange. Unless you are talking about Glendale California.

Yes, California, 2-3 miles from Tujunga. Is there even a Glendale CO?

Wow, sounds like Mt. Saint Helens in 1980 ... I had a sheet of ash on my '69 Dodge Charger that week.

My parents had ash on their vehicles in bozeman MT from that.

They put a picture from space on the news last night...looked pretty bad.

Yes. It's actually between Denver and SE Denver on Leetsdale.

We're getting the same thing here in Utah. You guys in Denver are probably getting a combination of the California fires and some we have here in Utah, two control burns that got out of hand.

We flew into DIA on Monday and the smoke was so thick you couldn't see the Rockies. It is thick out here and driving our allergies nuts. CBS4 sent a text out yesterday warning the young and elderly as well as those with respiratory conditions. Can't imagine what it's like in Cali.

I'm in long beach, I can see the smoke in the distance but its all going the other way. No ash, no smoke, clear and hot. I feel really lucky no Santa Ana winds are bringing it all my way.

So I am within 50 miles of most of that bad LA fire but can barely even smell it.
