Default We're DOOOOOOOMED!

As in DOOOOOOOM-ervil, baybay!

I think you here me knocking.

If being DOOOOOOOOOMED is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

Seriously, I know there's another thread on this. But this one is cooler than that one. That one should be DOOOOOOOOOMED!

So, what say you? Are you with me, or are you a nut hugger!

Sorry, Popps - wasn't trying to take away from your thread. Everyone is so uptight, though.

I loved how he seemed to have sort of a personal issue with Cutler tonight. I don't get the feeling they were great friends when Cutler was here.

i told everyone that Doom could turn into a James Harrison playing in the 3-4.

he is going to become a perenial pro bowler. i just hope we are smart and lock him up long term before the season ends, so we don't need to compete with other teams with him being free to sign anywhere.

HELL NO, man. Please... thread away! Doom had a fantastic night and really seemed motivated to prove something out there. The late hit might have been part of that, which is fine. He's pumped up and we need this guy to play with that kind of fire all season long.

I saw Ayers out there late in the 2nd quarter. Hopefully that means he's giving the staff a reason to believe he's deserving some time.

Imagine if he pans out, man. Could we possibly have a couple of book-end pass-rushing threats in Denver again, a la Williams/Smith?

He has always been special. I don't give out nicknames like the "Fat Ninja" for no reason.

I like Elvis and I was one of the few in here saying he might be able to play LB over a year ago, but here's a word of caution. The announcers in this game talked several times about the fact that Pace has admitted in the past that he struggles with matchups with shorter DE's due to the leverage problem a 6'8" guy has. I saw that pretty clearly. I hope Elvis can repeat this again next week and it wasn't just a quirk of matchup issues. He looked better in this game than he has the last 2 weeks by far.

To be honest, most NFL Tackles are at least 6'5" and have had to "hook" Elvis his entire career.

Now he gets to stand up and start his pass rush with a little more speed. Pace has indeed lost a step, but expect much more of what you saw, and expect Elvis to play a little "meaner."

i don't think it matters. almost every LT in the league is at least 6'5" and have had trouble holding him back when he was a DE, now that he can come in running with a little speed built up he is going to pose an even bigger threat.

Now please R Ayers -- take charge on the other strong side --

Then, we will have a matching set of bookends

It's going to happen with Ayers, i can feel it. I think it'll take him some more time to learn the D and get into playing shape but the game will start to slow down for him in a few weeks and we should start seeing flashes of what he will do...

I still feel like a flag could have been thrown for holding when Doom pressured Cutler in the end zone when they were backed up. Very easily could have been called and would have been a safety. Oh well, can't blame Hochuli, he has been known to give us a gift or 2 in the past

I still get mad watching Left Tackles shoving his helmet back (Illegal Hands to the Face) every other play, or wrapping their arm around his neck (Holding) but Refs refusing to call it because they think its unfair to call it on the Tackle because Doom is so short and they have no other way to stop them.

Seriously though, if you are 5'11", you deserve to get calls your way more often if they can't adjust to your height legally.

From the way it sounds, Josina is an expert on the concept of jawing.

I kid.

Can't stay on topic? You wanted Dumervil gone. Do you still want Denver cut his ass or not? Or are you going to admit you were wrong?

Dude three preseason games and he's the franchise? How much diggin did you have to do ...Are you lookin up every person that said anything about Dum and trying to call them out? A** Clown!!!!..Orlando Pace is so far past his prime it isn't even funny..Dude can even get out of his own way. During the off season getting rid of a one dementional player that can only play on
3rd down? in a 4-3...Ahh yea! Can he play a 3-4 LB ? Jury still out..Sure we know he can rush the passer, but wait til he has to cover Gates,Sproles or Lt out of the backfield..We'll see ..Hope so for Bronco sake..But lets not give him the DEF MVP of the league after 3 preseason games....

Doom looked good. Made Pace look bad.

If Pace doesn't play better than that in the regular season, Cutler is going to get clobbered.
