Acquired by Denver in a trade on April 2, Orton ranks third in the NFL in passing yards (271) and fifth in the league in completion percentage (64.3) through two preseason games. * Rookie WR Kenny McKinley, a fifth-round pick from the University of South Carolina, is ninth in the league in combined yards this preseason with 199, including 90 receiving yards that lead all NFL rookie wide receivers. They don't do a whole lot at all -- they just beat people. So this will be a good test for our team, really in all three phases -- offensively, defensively and special teams." – Kyle Orton "It will be fun to play against Cutler, We played against him every day in practice but never had a chance to hit him. We would always joke about him taking some hits. Now it's for real. We'll see what happens. They have a great offensive line and he's very elusive in the pocket"–Kenny Peterson "Cutler will be extra motivated, He wants to show this was a good thing for him. And we want to show it's a good thing we have going here. I think he wants to show the fans something. He kind of got a bad rap with the way things happened" –Casey Weigmann "I'm not going back. We've moved on. He's going to be fine in Chicago, I'm sure of that. He's a great player. He's going to have a good future. We've moved on as an organization." -Josh McDaniels "We're not going to go out there and win with a bunch of individuals,If they don't want to pull in the same direction as the other guys in the locker room, that's totally contradictory to what our philosophy is and how we're going to try to win" -Josh McDaniels "Me punting the ball was definitely frustration, It was an error in judgment. There was a lot of frustration (Wednesday) coming out of a meeting." -Brandon Marshall ""Everybody knows what kind of talent Marshall has, He definitely would make this offense better, he would make the team better. But he's got to get it in his mind what he wants to do. We definitely want him on the team, but it's a matter of him deciding for himself." -Casey Weigmann "Everything is where it needs to be for me to go out there and play. I know I'm going to be juiced up. I know you guys haven't had a chance to see me on game day. I know I'm going to be jacked up for this one." -Brian Dawkins Keeping with the theme of this week's game...The b*tch is back! Disclaimer:TheRev recommended this song. based on those defensive stats, looks like the team is doing what they need to be doing right for a few downs, then gives up the first anyway. atleast it can show marked improvement, especially if they can get clicking on every down.

Go Broncos! Let's hope that Goodman doesn't continue his toasty ways! It could be a long night if that's the case. Olson is a very good TE. We have not covered the TE very well in the preseason. We need to lock him down tonight!
On offense, can we please at least attempt a pass longer than 10yds...so that the defense might consider not rushing 8 on every play! |

5 things I will watch for:
#1 The D must get off the field on 3rd down. It's the dress rehearsal for the reg season and the D need to show improvement over last year. More passer ratings in the low to mid 100's will not be a sign of improvement #2. Jay Cutler cannot go off . Plain and simple. #3. The O must run it more inside the red zone and play more like a reg season game. Same as #1 putting up lots of yards between the 20s without punching it in will not be a sign of improvement. Having Moerno and Marshall out could be used as an excuse but we seen that RBs can't stay healthly for 16 games #4. Weapon 'X' How will our new defensive leader change the culture on the field. I'm looking forward to seeing a fired up Broncos D #5. Win its almost a must win game for Denver. Not to get over on Jay but so McD can have something to hang his hat on with his "team" first menatlity. he's been how to win during TC so at this point this team needs a win and next week the starters rest Even Bowlen realizes this is not just another preseason game. |

Me too. I'll be wearing my customized "JUDAS" 6 jersey... definitely want to throw a few back before the game.
