Default Is there a safe Jersey to buy

I buy a Plummer...Then Cutler....thank god I don't have a Marshall one. Who's a safe jersey to buy? Elway's are always same but I'd like a current player.

Seems like quite a few people here are REALLY struggling with this concept.

In order of confidence that they'll be around for awhile:

Clady
Royal
Smith (considering what they gave up to get him, he's not going anywhere for awhile)
Quinn (same here)

Kuper if he gets extended in the next month or two and you can wait that long before buying (he'd leapfrog to 2nd or 3rd).

as if you care, but I have an orange Royal jersey (and I went to UVa!) and just got a home Moreno which honors Moreno, DWill and Atwater... (I have usual Davis, Elway, McCaffrey, Bailey too) Also, funny story at a recent yard sale, I threw an authentic looking Cutler on the ground and told the lady running the yard sale $5 and it didnt sell. priceless.

I think Royal, Clady, Hillis, Graham (I wish I could say Champ here, but he'll want out if we're not winning) and then the Patriot Boys might be safe buys - Buy a Paxton jersey!

I've got a Rod Smith jersey #80.
But my last name is Smith, so it was safe.

I may get an Alphonso jersey sometime if he proves himself to be any good.

Nope.

I bought a Mashall jersey last offseason and got a Cutler jersey for my b-day in November (both are authentic, but bought on eBay). I am working on getting the Cutler jersey altered. I will have to wait & see what happens with BMarsh before taking action on that one.

The good news with the Marshall jersey is that the seller messed up my order (he gave me a home jersey instead of an away jersey, like I ordered), so he gave me a full refund and told me to keep the jersey...pretty sweet deal at the time...so I never wasted $$ on Marshall.

I've always felt that it wasn't a good idea to buy a jersey of a current player. You never know how long they will be on the team.

Go with past players who are identified with the Broncos. You can never go wrong, and it is cooler. I have a white mid '90s TD jersey. It's like the coolest thing ever. I wear it every Sunday.

Plummer is absolutely safe to wear. He's the 2nd most winning QB in club-history. Just because he had an exit without ceremony doesn't make it a bad jersey. I think most Broncos fans appreciate what he did for us.

My son has a Champ, a Plummer and Cutler. I'll let you guess which one he won't wear, and that's not my doing.

As for other safes... I have Elway(s)... Smith(s) and a Bailey. I also have a #26 jersey that I've recycled into a few players. Too bad JW hasn't helped me keep up the tradition yet.
