Damn right . she is on the phone , and they keep asking bull**** questions .... Long winded b**** ........
Although I do get a kick out of the way she was wording the question .....
Sometimes people need to understand trying to dress up a question doesnt make them look smart , only smart assed ........
If I was asking that question , I would worded it like this .....
Hey lady , how can you continue on with this issue even though it means we are stepping on peoples civil liberties ? Is this one of those the ends justify the means deals ?

Your version doesnt' jibe with hers. She says she was on the phone calling a Congressional hotline to get an answer to the lady's question, in what was supposed to be a very informal meeting. You could at least report that side of it as well if you're at all interested in fairly evaluating the facts. If you want to see rude...listen to this reporter who cuts her off repeatedly demanding she answer the question in the way he phrases it and trying to corner her into an answer that admits some kind of wrong doing. She's actually trying to explain her position throughout all this and has to practically shout over this moron.

What I found hillarious about this interview, is that as soon as she begins to answer his question, CNN cuts over to a video they ran side-by-side next to her speaking...basically doing almost EXACTLY what they are accusing her of...disrespecting her by not giving attention to her while she's speaking. The video is clearly designed to run next to her talking to distract and reinforce the idea that she's lying or being less than forthcoming. While this is going on the talking head has a hissy fit over her not popping loose with the answer he wants in the first 10 seconds and goes into attack mode. By approximately 30 seconds in she had started to tell him what she was doing on the phone...or had at least tried to...at 45 seconds he goes off on a wild tangent trying to talk over her to force her to do what he wants, which was to admit wrongdoing. For the next minute or more the main reason she can't explain her actions is due to him acting like an ass. Throughout the next 5 minutes he refuses to accept her answer, and instead continues to play the same video loop over and over, while he contests to the end that she was rude.

This is the kind of prick that pisses me off, because he assumes we're to stupid to listen to someone's answer and judge for outselves if what they say is valid. Instead we need him to tell us what she's saying...gimme a break.

Priceless...

No, he doesn't care about you. He cares about the Fox "base" of rightards. This interview is just more red meat to them. It's like Goebbels doing that film where he intersperses film of physically deformed Jews with film of hordes of rats. The tools of propaganda are geared toward the stupid, and work very well.

She was on the phone well before the question was even asked. I guess the congresswoman used her mind reading powers and knew she would need to call the hotline. It has also been reported that she was on the phone multiple times throughout the townhall, and even suggested that she was actually on the phone with a staffer who was in the building. Oddly, after every phone call, she acknowledged a democratic donor/official/judge in the audience.

That's nothing.

Every month the RTD board of directors (Rapid Transit District) in Denver has a board meeting where the public can be heard. They are elected officials. While we land owners addressed them about our concerns over eminent domain it was rare they would even look us in the eye often getting up to walk over the tax payer funded food buffet. I really don't know how I didn't go postal during that process.

I'll believe it when I see a phone record. Either way it wasn't the time to do it.

They are doing the samething with the town hall meeting that they down downtown. They'll move the meeting time on the day of and not tell everyone.

If the democrats are so convinced that this plan is so great, they wouldn't be so scared to explain and defend it to their voters. But I don't see why they bother having these meetings since how many have even read half the bill?

It was "reported" where? Who "suggested" this? Links please...credible ones, not Rush, Hannity or Sarah.

Have you ever been to a town hall meeting? I have...and in fact I've spoken at numbers of them and even hosted one. Town hall meetings are not formal speaking engagements with a main speaker. People get up and use the mic to speak, but it's not the person at the front of the room you are speaking to, it's the people in attendance. It's basically the same as a discussion group with a moderator calling on people. In this particular case, she gave an explanation that was reasonable. I see no reason to call her a liar.

On a side note...I have met Sheila Jackson Lee and spoken with her several times, as well as been involved with two business or civic initiatives that sent me accross her pathway or put me in connection with her office. I never found her to be condescending or rude. That has NOT been the case with several other people here in Texas politics that I've also met...including my own congressional state rep.

The resolution to this question is vital to the future of the country.

Let's keep the healthcare debate aside and resolve this issue first....

Shelia Jackson Lee is notorious on the Hill for being the meanest, crudest Congresswoman/man in Washington.

You guys think you have a clue, but you have no idea when it comes to Lee.
