hah I don't remember the last time the Denver media broke a story?? I don't think they try real hard, and they let all the other experts break the story then 1 hr or 2 hr's later they run the story

i don't understand why this story would break in philly?...

is that where Ayer's agent lives or something?...whats the connection?..

With Larry English and Brian Cushing both signed, there is very little wiggle room for Ayers' agent at this point. I expect this to be accurate.

Is it perhaps because Maclin is unsigned and he was drafted around where Ayers was?

Because the Eagles' unsigned rookie WR, Jeremy Maclin, was the 19th pick right after Ayers. The thinking being that if 18 signs then 19's signing will be next/easier.

That still doesn't really explain why it broke in Philly and not, you know, in the town where said deal is being made.

The connection is that the fans in Philly know that when Ayers is signed then their pick Maclin is that closer to signing. Wish the Denver media also knew this.
