Heres what I noticed at camp. #11 McKinley looked pretty good he caught a deep pass for a TD and made some other plays. Alphonso Smith dropped a sure fire pick six but it was great to see him jumping routs so well. Tim Crowder had a sure sack but there was no hitting the QBs. The defense looked weird to me as I watch they always had three D-lineman and one DL/LB standing up. The DL/LB that was standing never once dropped back into coverage effectively turning the defense into a 4-3.

So Orton's not wearing the ugly Evolution helmet anymore? Do players wear their "official" helmets in Camp?

Awesome pictures and it jogged a memory. You see in the 2, 3, and 5 pictures from the 2nd post Coach McD in action. During the WR's work running their routes, he was very hands on. He would stand about 10 yards off and bark commands to the receivers making them focus on running good routes. They ran a couple deep patterns as well and McKinnley was the only one to connect deep. The QBs overthrew Eddie Royal which had McD giving Orton some extra coaching. I assume he was instructing him to put a little more air under the ball and to throw it a little tighter to the sideline. The pass was flat and overthrown by 5 yards or so.

He is a great leader but his voice was cracking me up. You could hear him yell huddle up and it sounded like a 13 year old going through puberty. But it was better than the hung over drunk Cutler who mumbled all through camp.
I tell you what I don't miss watching his dad roam the sidelines looking for people speaking ill will! |

No it was on the media side. He was all over the field in the ear of every media person who would listen. Speak ill of him in his earshot and he was quick to confront you. Its that which caused me to be wary about CutLEAF. Daddy had to protect him and Daddy had to turn in his playbook. CutLEAF was too p***Y to do it himself.
