The 19% humidity + the 54 degree dew point is the part that gets me!

I wonder if somewhere Al Gore is trying divert the whales from swimming to Seattle and getting Melissa Etheridge to write a new song to stop the lastest Global warming in Seattle.

It is sad that his plans for the InterneTS Superior highway tubes upgrade has to be put on hold for this.

I am from Las Vegas, just moved up to Seattle. In Vegas we were used to temperatures regularly in the 100's all summer long, so I didn't think it would be a big deal. Come to find out, it actually really sucks when it gets this hot!

The major reason why it sucks so much up here is a lot of people don't have AC, and in Vegas every single house, even the crappiest ghetto apartments have AC, so you spend all your time in cooled areas.... and it's also a touch humid. I can't wait for the rainy weather to come back.

This heat really sucks. My wife is pregnant, so on top of my misery, I have to find a way to cool her, or my life sucks even worse. I thought when I left florida I was done with this heat and humidity.

Yesterday was worse, it was 111 at one point when I was driving here in Oregon (about an hour south of Portland). I lived in, and my wife is from, the south, so we were pretty adamant about getting A/C in our house when we bought it - as said above most homes don't have A/C here.

Exactly. I'm so thankful we live in a house with a finished basement where we can escape the heat. Our upstairs is ridiculously hot. I feel bad for the people in apartments with no AC.

I certainly don't have AC and its hot as hell ........... I had to turn my computer off until the night time and it still 80 degrees at 11:52 pm.
