Yea, cant blame the guy. And its not like both kids were of the same size or anything. Its unforuante but somebody probably needs to put Syndrome boy on a leash. Thats just dangerous for both him and anyone who he attacks.

Regardless of him being retarded, you can't go around kicking kids, especially ones that are smaller, and not expect dad to do that. I'd have done the same thing. I don't think he knew he was retarded. If I'd have known I'd have been telling mom to take control and probably not nicely.

i believe if i read the story correctly........they guy was facing 18 months in jail........and he cut a deal that he would drop the charges on the down syndrome kid and his sentance was reduced to 6 months..........

That being said........it was probaby a good move because i dont think any juror would convict the kid.
