Hey pic Mod!?!?! FU
Join Date: Jun 2004
Location: The wrong side of right.
He is joining the supplemental draft.
Texas Tech defensive end McKinner Dixon ranks as my 38th best player in the Big 12. Here's his capsule in our daily countdown of the Big 12's best.
Player: McKinner Dixon
Team: Texas Tech
Position: Defensive end/defensive tackle
Vitals: 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, Jr., Lufkin, Texas (Cisco Junior College)
Why he was picked: He's a dominant pass rusher who harrasses quarterbacks from the edge. After a strong freshman season in 2005, he went back to junior college to get grades in order. His return, at times, was slow last season, but by the end of the year he was a formidable pass-rushing specialist who produced 33 tackles, 11 tackles for losses and nine sacks.
What 2009 will hold: He's being cross-trained at defensive tackle and defensive end this season to try and earn more playing time. It will be interesting to see how he will play without Brandon Williams in the pass-rushing mix. If he can become steadier in his play, it might turn the Red Raiders' front four into one of the conference's best.
He seems like a very good 3/4 LB. He was a 4 star player coming out of HS and he had a 4.58 then.
