Just heard it from an inside source of mine. Supposedly a backloaded deal worth around $25 million.

Good call!
Whenever he's off the bench the energy level seems to go up. I'm glad he's back. |

Chris Andersen and the Nuggets have agreed on a five-year contract that could earn Andersen up to $26 million, the player's manager, Mark Bryant, said Tuesday night. This locks in one of Denver's most popular athletes for the next half-decade. |

Good move, I think. I guess time will tell if it's a good move or not. It would have been pretty devostating to lose him. He got mid-level exception type money but not necessarily the mid-level exception.
Now the Nuggets need to work on getting better and not just staying the course. |

Keep in mind the Nuggets will likely be over the luxury tax for the cost for Stan is double. With that, Andersen moves so much merchandise that his popularity may help offset his cost a bit.

The kept a key backup, now they need to either re-sign Dhanty Jones or find another better defensive stopper for the 2-3 position. You have to stop Kobe to win in the West. Ariza would have been great. I know he likes the 3 spot, but he could have played the 2 just fine.
I also feel like they already upgraded the point guard spot with Ty Lawson over AC. |

Apparently it's got a lot of incentives in it. I think at max, he could make 26 million, but for instance, this coming season, he only makes like $3.46 I think the figure is.
So on the surface yes, but I want to see what he ends up making when it's all said and done. |
