No, I guess it could have still worked that way but I didnt make that an option. Youll have to flip a coin.

sorry my favorite decades are not listed, big fan of old stuff from the 40s (noir and hitchcock in particular) and the 1960s (lot good westerns and action stuff...Ah, Butch Cassidy...) 1970s were a great decade for film making though...not just those listed...quite a good decade for DeNiro and Pacino, Scorcesse...

I think most of us grew up in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. And for that reason, I didnt think going back earlier would get many votes due to a lack of familiarity.

I like horror so I voted 80's even though I'd like to add 78 for Halloween.

I guess it depends what kind of movies you like. To me the 80s were a pretty barren decade for quality films ... comedies, yes, there were alotta good comedies. But that's about it.

I did this collage of my favorites awhile back:

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Some good choices though. Nobody in my family will watch The Hudsucker Proxy, but it's one of my favorites.

Overall, I vote for the 40's.

I have to go with the 90's and I have to agree with BroncoBuff on the 80's. That being said, 2001 is my all-time favorite year for film and includes my all-time favorite film, Mulholland Drive.

Other good films from 2001:
Memento
The Others
Donnie Darko
In the Bedroom
A Beautiful Mind
Training Day
Amélie
Session 9
The Devil's Backbone
Blow
Y Tu Mamá También
Das Experiment
Enemy at the Gates
Lantana
Waking Life
Vanilla Sky
Shrek
Ghost World
The Pledge
A.I. Artificial Intelligence
The Majestic
The Royal Tenenbaums
Monster's Ball
Black Hawk Down
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Spirited away
The Man Who Wasn't There
No Man's Land

Napolean Dynamite? Gotta be kidding...that was one of the worst movies ever. I can't believe you got that in there and not The Color Purple or The Killing Fields, two of the best ever made.

The old black and white stuff for pure craft is the best even though they lacked the special effects.

I went with the 70's because my three favorite films of all time were made then. The Godfather, One Flew over the Cookoo's Nest, and Star Wars.
