Dude after so long on the Rok I came to love Kinmchee, except for radish kimchee. Gawd I hated radish Kimchee but because ethe Korean air force guys I worked with, had it everytime we ordered food from a soju tent across the street, I choked that stuff down with a fake smile and a rumbling tummy. I ate Kaegogi once and poshingtan once as well. That's dog for those of you keeping score. I actually have a picture of SP dirty puking up what looks like Kaegogi into my sink(he had a weak stomache for whiskey)

Yep, the Kaegogi got to me also. I didn't puke, but didn't finish my plate once I realized/ found out WTF it was.

PS: Spdirty is a puss.

Hehehehehehe! I'll let him know you said so. I will say this for dirty, his nickname (Dirty) is well earned. Lemme put it this way Charlie Sheen was his idol over there. But miraculously he never seemed to have to pay for anything and always had one of us to take care of him. Anytime you want any dirt on him give me a blast.

no no no...puking up korean food doesnt make you a puss. had this korean gf...hotter than hell, but damn the food she tried to cram down my throat, took every ounce of energy I had not to throw it up.

Only decent food out there is spicy chicken bulgogi. Really miss that. kimchee just, uggh, refused to eat that shlt since it made the koreans stink.

As for dog, I will pass. The good thing about dog, is that it's very expensive. I know I will not accidentally eat it.

I am trying to learn Korean. It is very tough, although everyone says English is harder. Hopefully I will meet a Korean woman that will teach me something.

My son is going to, I think he said it's Osan? Is that anywhere near you? He's coming in October for a year. He's a crew chief. I'm glad to hear you like it. He has fallen in love with traveling like you. But he's got 3 children, one born in April that he's going to miss terribly along with his wife.

Osan huh? I hear things have changed quite a bit. For families that is and that is a good thing. That place used to known for loose morals and single man's delight. Now I hear they are considering accompanied tours

I don't think I'll be telling my daughter in law that.

Things have been changing there for a while. I wouldn't worry about your daughter in law needing to be shielded from anything. The troops still drink enough to drown Ireland but the other extra curricular activities have been stiffled

I'm sure my son will be joining them in that drinking. Daughter in law and kids won't be going with him, he got a new base for when he comes back just last night...Hill Air Force Base, about 20 minutes from his mom. I'm thrilled! She'll be staying there while he's gone and I can spoil my long distance grandchildren for once.

Nothing has changed and i know from first hand experience. I was just there, Osan, to visit my soon to be ex-wife the middle of this past July. It's definitely a place you DO NOT want to go if you're married. Most of her friends were either married messing around or single messing around with someone who was married. It was pretty sad to say the least. We decided when i was over there that we'd go our seperate ways. All anyone did while i was there was drink. There are clubs and bars right out the main gate! Pretty much i have the classic story of what happens when your spouse goes to Korea for a year!! Best of luck to your son and in-law Gunns...but people have no morals at all over there. It's almost as if people who are married forgot they were when they get there!

Hey Maher, is Smitty's still packing them in? What about the Stereo and the privacy booths? How about the "shows"? In 2003 they cleaned house on Tsong Tan. Juiceys deported, Clubs that had special sex attractions closed ect. If people are cheating still than it's a personal choice I am inclined to believe that anyone who has grey matter between thier ears wouldn't volunteer to go to Hill as thier follow on unless they were morally upright.
