Dungy visits Vick at Leavenworth
Buzz up!Like this story? Share it with Yahoo! Buzz Former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy met with Michael Vick today at the federal prison in Leavenworth, Kan. "I can confirm that Michael met with coach Dungy," Vick's agent, Joel Segal, told ESPN's John Clayton. "The discussions were private, but the meeting was very positive." Dungy's decision to meet with Vick is being viewed by some as potentially important to the quarterback's hopes for returning to the NFL. Given that Dungy has universal respect within the league a positive opinion from him could bolster Vick's hopes for reinstatement. Vick is scheduled to leave Leavenworth May 20 and serve the remainder of his sentence under home confinement in Hampton, Va. His sentence ends July 20, and he will be on supervised probation for three years. Dungy said recently on the Dan Patrick show that he knew Vick from when the Colts played Atlanta in Japan, and that they had talked about someday fishing together. Dungy told Patrick that religious faith would be a central part of their conversation, saying: "I am going out there to really talk about life. To talk about the Lord. I know he has made a profession that he has accepted the Lord into his life. Talk to him about what he's going to face. Most people are going to be against him. He's got to understand that." Maybe he was there to tell him that God forgives him.

Dungy is a stud. I hope that when vick gets out he can land on his feet somewhere whether it be nfl or afl.
either way he wont ever be out of debt, but he deserves that. |

Yay!
A couple of weeks ago, I was thinking to myself "I need to hear more about Brett Favre and Michael Vick." Dreams can come true. |
