Default Are you going to root for Cutler this year?

Or do most here, say: good riddance!

As the Bear's QB, does all attachment (you may have had) disapear? As I am not in Colorado, I dont think I was sucked intro as much as the Cutler drama queen act, so I think I will be rooting for him to be the NFC champs. His style of play reminds me of Elway's/Farve's, he created an energy to the team, that created ticket sales ... and although I will always be a Bronco's fan first, I think that we wont have the QB needed to be as dynamic as last year -- we will be more run dependant...and have QB's that are just a step up over Greise...in terms of physical ability.

Cutler isn't a Bronco any longer, I'd say no.

I won't root against him personally, but I will be rooting against the Bears for obvious reasons.

No, just like i wont root for anyone that isnt a bronco. I root for the uniform, not the player. Now, having said that, when Sharpe left, i didnt mind him doing well with the ravens, i didnt necessarily root for him, but it pleased me in some respects. I think Cutler is an a-hole so i hope he crashes and burns.

Cutler is an exciting person to watch play football because of the risk taking and the bullet-like passes. I rarely watch Chicago Bears football, but I probably will now that he's on the team.

But I won't go so far as to say that I will be rooting for Cutler. I actually can't wait to laugh hysterically when he throws his first red zone interception after methodically driving the team 65 yards into scoring position.

I will be rooting for good and bad?

I like Cutler and want to watch him work some of his magic a few times. I love watching him finish a game in a fourth quarter drive.

However, I really don't want to see him do better than he did for the Broncos. I want to see him make the playoffs, get knocked around, yell at a few team mates, then watch the Superbowl from his couch at home.

I wish him good things, but not great things...

Really, but from a selfish standpoint, I wonder if he does well -- like Portis -- then the next time we go to trade with a team, they wont think that we are going to screw them somehow. Its still obvious we got the better deal, but for a time, it looked like Portis was going to flame out with his shoulder injury, and I dont think that woudl have been good for us. If I was working in the Lion's front office, I would never want to trade with Shanny again...

I guess considering the draft next year, and McDaniels not negotiating the lower of the two picks, it will push more folks into the crash and burn camp.

The only time I dont want Cutler to do well is in the Superbowl against us...

Not rooting so much as watching to see how he does with a different scheme, O Line and receivers etc.
Will his 'strong arm' get the freedom he enjoyed in Denver, or will the Bears stay with their run first, conservative philosophy?
It will be interesting to watch.
