Default Obama Wants 2018 World Cup

Barack Obama is politicking for the World Cup to return to US soil in 2018.

Bring it on!

For those who missed the opportunity to attend the games and festivities of the WC, make sure that you get tickets to this one early. With the heightened awareness international football among American citizens and the influx of many Latinos, tickets may become really hard to get the longer you wait. You'll be very glad you went.

Is the government going to be running the WC? Or else why does he want it here?

While I'm not a soccer fan, this would be a great event for the United States to host...

I'd rather have the World Expo, but I can appreciate that a lot of people would enjoy this, even if it is just soccer.

the 2018 Cup would be perfect timing! I will have finished med school and just wrapped up residencies so I could actually have a paying job instead of constantly begging at the Banks doorsteps !

The United States could possibly be a very formidable force by then!

Many experts have us getting the 2022 cup though.

Democrats crawling all over Washington. Clueless president intent on bankrupting the country and now politicking for soccer. Wow, doesn't get much worse than that.

I thought we ended all this soccer nonsense with the Beckham debacle.

The only problem I have with the world cup and the Olympics is all the hooker trafficing.

Personally I'm all for bringing big events like the WC and Olympics to American cities. It's a point of pride for the country and a good excuse to renovate the cities. It may cost a bit of money but big deal. There are so many other benefits to it. Some measurable and some not.
