Default OT: I am going to meet "Greek" tonight.

I am in town at a conference and will be listening to Antonopolus give a speech over dinner on Pain Managmenet. Should be interesting. Probably will just shut up and listen and not say anything, but have been trying to think of something relative to the current team and season to ask him. Any thoughts?

I am personally curious if he antisipates more or less injuries with McD at the helm. Shanny didn't have the guys hit as much, but I feel that having the guys used to the reckless nature of the game will lend itself to guys not getting hurt.

Does he believe in stretching?

Our recent history of players with pulled hammy's and groins seems to indicate he doesnt force this upon the players..

McD seems to have changed the way we do just about everything...even what the players eat at the cafeteria. Is he changing what the Greek does at all?

Excellent. Please ask him why his players lead the league in soft tissue injuries.

I wonder if he's got his own ideas about what the team should be doing personnel-wise.

Please ask when he's going to retire, so that we can get a competent replacement.

I like ludo's thought on stretching. I would go with "open ended" questions that force him to give more than a one-word answer.

I would preface the question by saying:
Our recent history of players with pulled hammy's and groins seems to indicate stretching is not forced upon the players.

Then turn around and ask him:
1. How much emphasis is placed on pre-practice/pre-game stretching?
2. And how closely is it monitored by the coaching/training staff?

Have fun!!

Seriously. How he's been able to keep his job for so long is beyond me.

Not sure I have a direct question but since he is talking about pain management I would like to hear how chronic cases are treated or if there are numbers showing how many NFL players end up managing their pain at a pain clinic. I wonder what types of injuries from playing in NFL cause long term nerve damage that require long term pain maintanence.

It would be interesting to know if the NFL works with outside pain centers to control or manage players pain on the outside rather than shower them with vicodin and expect the players not to get hooked.

he is making sure he shows up with a full head of hair; Toupee, wig, plugs, whatever. He wants hair on top of that dome.

There would probably be a rim shot after he asked that question.

Ask him if he remembered hanging up on Mock who was pleading with him to get Cutler a special helmet to prevent concussions.

If I had the gumption I would dig up Mocks thread.

Snark aside, they guy must be ancient by now. He probably should be nearing retirement age.

But perhaps that's wishful thinking...
