25 1-26 - Percy Harvin, WR, Florida +4 rounds of value!
44 - Clint Sintim, LB, Virginia Went at pick 45! I finally didn't reach for an LB! 56 - Jamon Meredith, OT, South Carolina Pick 162 Round 5. FAIL 87 - Victor "macho" Harris, CB, Va tech Pick 157, round 5. I should have listened to Med. 108 - Andre Brown, RB, NC State Pick 129 round 4. Not bad. 161 - Mike Goodson, RB, Texas A&M Pick 111 Round 4. Better. This was a BPA 181 - Morgan Trent, CB, Michigan Pick 179. Pretty close. 214 - Ashlee Palmer LB Ole Miss Undrafted. FAil. 237 - Jaison Williams, WR, Oregon Undrafted. FAil Probably my worst effort. I'm going to blame it on running the draft, which was harder than I thought it would be. ![]() |

My Mock draft I
This one was ugly. I was a fill in for a guy that dropped out and didn't scout the Panthers at all. Epic fail all the way. 59 2-27 - Paul Kruger, DE, Utah Pick 57. About right. This all I got right. 93 3-29 - Nate Davis, QB, Ball State Undrafted. This bugs me because I didn't notice he doesn't hold the football right, and all the info about how crappy he was didn't come out until later. Worst. Pick. Ever. 125 4-28 - Roy Miller, DT, Texas Pick 81. Great value here. I guess I wasn't completely horrible. 156 - Quan Cosby, WR, Texas Undrafted. This poor guy had to sit with Bill Cosby the whole draft only to go undrafted. 187 6-27 - Cameron Morrah, TE, California Pick 248. Bit of a late round reach here. 221 7-29 - Drew Willy, QB Buffalo Undrafted Fail. ![]() |

I had to pull out of Draft II after 3 rounds because of computer issues.
For the Bears up until that point I had. #18 Larry English - Went at #15, so good value. #49 Phil Loadholt - Went a couple of picks later to Vikings, so good value and theoretically scuppered a division rival! Third round I reached for Javon Ringer, who went in the late 5th to The Titans. |

14 New Orleans - Worm - Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia (+2)
116 New Orleans - Worm - Kevin Barnes, CB Maryland (+36) 118 New Orleans - Worm - Zack Follett, LB, California (-96) 222 New Orleans - Worm - C.J. Spillman, FS, Marshall (Not drafted) Started off strong...then went with production\heart type players over measurables with the last two picks and got burned. I still can see Spillman and Follett making 2009 NFL rosters. |

Indianapolis Colts in OM Mock I:
1 (27) Clay Matthews OLB/DE USC Selected 26 +1 value 2 (61) James Casey WR/TE/H-Back Rice Selected 152 -91 Value 3 (94) Dorell Scott DT Clemson Selected 103 -9 value 4 (128) Sherrod Martin CB/S Troy Selected 59 +69 value 4 (139) Jason Williams OLB Western Illinois Selected 69 +70 Value 5 (165) Mohamed Massaquoi WR Georgia Selected 50 +115 Value 6 (203) Bradley Fletcher CB/S Iowa Selected 66 +137 Value 7 (242) John Gill DT Northwestern UDFA -15 value Almost took Jerraud Powers or Chris Owens as top 2 BPA's but had 2 CB/S already. Would have helped value, but not needs. + 267 Value on 8 Picks in Draft, with last pick being UDFA need. UDFA'S: 1. DeAndre Levy Selected 76 +181 Value 2. Andrew Gardener Selected 181 + 76 Value 3. Don Carey Selected 177 + 80 Value 4. Nick Reed Selected 247 + 10 Value 5. John Faletoese UDFA 6. Ryan McKee UDFA 7. Ashlee Palmer UDFA + 347 in UDFA Value. DeAndre Levy was the highest player selected of the non-OM drafted players. He beat the next guy Jerraud Powers by 16 selections. Surprised Nick Reed Was drafted, but not that Faletoese, Mckee, and Palmer were not. They are scheme fit players worth a few bucks in FA. Overall, I loved this draft. Total draft selction value was +614! I spend way too much time on this crap! None of the players were selected by the Colts, but I like the scheme fits. They did select very similar players. I made my huge mistake buying into the huge TE valuation of second round value run. In reality, TE's were severely devalued because of the supply of quality pass catchers. James Casey is a guy to watch next year. HOU took him in the fifth round and they have Owen Daniels, but he can play WR and RB in the Wildcat. They will get him on the field. He is also overage, and the overage players dropped about 2 rounds of value on average in this draft. Otherwise, INDY drafted a first rounder, 2 Second's, 2 Third's, a fourth, a fifth, and an UDFA in 8 low round picks with no trades. |

#33 Brandon Pettigrew- #20 for + 13 #45 William Moore- #55 for - 10 #60 Derrick Williams- #82 for - 22 #65 Fili Moala- #56 for + 9 #126 Brandon Tate- #83 for + 43 #131 Mike Goodson- #111 for + 20 #143 C. Lewis- Undrafted FAIL! #157 Curtis Painter- #201 for - 44 #188 Jarrius Wynn- #182 for +6 (thanks Med!) #219 *couldn't make my pick so it was forfeited, but I was gonna take Mike Mitchell who was drafted #47 for + 172 ![]() Total of plus 15 with one Undrafted player. Plus 187 if I include Mitchell! I really have no idea who that guy is still!!!Looking back at the Giants actual draft, they probably did better than I did in addressing their real needs. Nicks, Stintim and Beatty were their first three plus they got Brown and Bomar in the 4th and 5th rounds. They had a very good draft! The Eagles draft in the 2nd draft was epic!!! Eagles, OM Mock II:
#21 Beanie Wells- 31 for - 10 #28 Alphonso Smith- 37 - 9 #53 Michael Johnson- 70 - 17 (sucking so far huh!) #85 Shawn Nelson- 121 - 36 (still sucking! but no huge reaches) #121 Jason Williams- 69 + 52 (now this is where I get hot! )#141 Bradley Fletcher- 66 + 75 #153 Donald Washington- 102 + 51 #157 Mike Wallace- 84 + 73 #159 Sebastian Vollmer- 58 + 101 (That's plus 352 in the last 5 picks!!!) #194 Dominque Johnson- Undrafted-FAIL #195 Roger Allen Undrafted- FAIL! #230 Victor Butler- 110 + 130!!! Gave me a total of Plus 410!!! *and I didn't have to use a bunch of undrafted FAs that were drafted to inflate my score (MED!). :cool:Looking back at the Eagles actual draft it's hard to beat. They got a good CB in a trade (Hobbs) but I'd probably prefer Smith in the draft. They got a good RB in Shady McCoy but I'd prefer Wells. But they got a stud receiver with Maclin. A great TE in Ingram (in the 5th round no less!). Plus they added a OT that is obviously better than anybody I drafted in the trade for Peters. Still, I think I did pretty well for them. NY Giants 2009 Mock Draft
Round 1(29) - Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers - Went 30 (-1) Round 2(60) - Marcus Freeman, OLB, Ohio State - Went 154 (-94) Round 3(91) - Danell Ellerbee, ILB, Georgia - UDFA - Miss big time here!! Round 3(100) - Asher Allen, CB Georgia - Went 86 - (-14) Round 4(129) - Xavier Fulton OT, Illinois - Went 155 (+26) Round 5(164) – Richard Quinn TE, North Carolina - Went 64 (+100) Round 6(200) – Arian Foster RB, Tennessee - UDFA - miss! Round 7(238) – Marlon Favorite DT, LSU - UDFA!! All in all I drafted 3 UDFA, so that is a terrible miss. But I did well with getting good value out of Fulton, and Quinn. New Orleans Saints 2009 Mock Draft Round 1(14) - Brian Cushing, LB, USC - Went 15 (-1) Round 4(116) - Kevin Barnes, CB, Maryland - Went 80 (+36) Round 7(222) – PJ Hill, RB Wisconsin - UDFA UDFA – Keegan Herring, RB ASU - UDFA UDFA – Marlon Favorite, DT LSU - UDFA So not too bad here, I got +35 value, and drafted a RB that went Undrafted. Any 2 UDFA were just that so thats not bad I suppose. |

Washington Redskins were my team I drafted for, and only had 4 picks.
13 1-13 Darius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland Taken 7th by Oakland 75 3-11 Rashad Jennings, RB, Liberty 250th pick by Jacksonville 142 5-14 Jason Watkins, OT, Florida Undrafted signed with Houston Comp 7B Slade Norris, OLB/DE, Oregon State 126th pick by Oakland Still can't figure out how Jennings possibly fell that far. Everything I read had him ranked as the 7th best RB in the draft. Jacksonville got a major steal in the 7th with him. Was decent picking of Heyward-Bey where i did As for the Norris, not sure if he is better than i had him chosen, or if the Raiders reached again. |

My first time participating....
Draft I: Houston Texans 1-15: Tyson Jackson DE +12 Probably where he deserved to go, but great value here. 2-46: Donald Brown RB +19 Another great value in the middle of the second 3-77: David Bruton FS -37 A slight reach but immediate ST impact and long-term potential make him worth it 4-108: Mike Thomas WR +1 Pegged this one. Should be a nice slot receiver 5-144: Lee Robinson LB UDFA No denying the reach, but let's hope he pans out 6-175: Anthony Hill TE +22 Solid value for a blocking specialist, take notes McD 7-206: Kyle Link OT UDFA Crapshoot pick, who knows where he ends up The first day worked out well for me, and I'll stand by my second day picks even if I reached slightly for Bruton and the UDFA's... Excellent thread Kahn, I was just thinking about starting this type of thread before I saw this one!
OM MOCK DRAFT II RAMS- #2 Jason Smith OT (Baylor) Rams took my advice and picked Smith. #35 Louis Delmas S (Western Michigan) Went to the Lions at #33 #66 Duke Robinson OG (Oklahoma) Looks like I underestimated rumors of Duke falling further, he went #133 overall in the 5th...he dropped a lot. Ouch #103 Jason Phillips ILB (TCU) Went 34 picks later than where I picked him. Not too bad... #138 Derrick Williams WR (Penn. St) Looks like I got a steal, Derrick went #82 overall, in the third round. #176 Will Davis DE (Illni) Went to the Cardinals about 28 picks later, he's a project so not a surprise he was picked this late. #211 Frank Summers RB/FB (UNLV)Went early to Pittsburgh at #169 in the fifth. Should be a really good short yardage back. I'd give myself an B plus. The Duke pick was bad, definitely reached. However I'd like to think my draft is a shiny new vehicle and Duke is just a small dent to that new vehicle. |
