Arthur (Charlotte): OK, your time is almost up: Time for your absolutely shot in the dark best guess on what will happen with Peppers: Will he be traded pre- or during the draft? Where will he go? Don't be scared, it's just a guess. We won't hold you to it.
Pat Yasinskas: (1:54 PM ET ) All right -- like you said -- just a guess. I'll say it happens during the draft. I'll say Denver. We'll see. Just throwin it out there for discussion. |

He would be fun to watch..Dude is a beast, but I doubt McD wants to spend a 1st rounder plus all the coin it would take to lock him up.

I would almost buy into trading our 18th pick for the Peppers. Would be an instant upgrade over any defensive player avaliable at the pick.

Could you Imagine Peppers at OLB, Dawkins in the Secondary, and REY REY in the Middle. Holy bejesus! Would could almost get off the field on third downs.

No thanks on JP. He played well b/c it was a contract year. The year before last, he sucked. He's growing long in the tooth (by football standards) and he would cost a bundle. I'd rather roll the dice in the draft, IMO.

I have a source that says draft day trade. That source can be very reliable or very shaddy......

I wouldn't mind it if we were sticking with a 4-3 defense. Having Dumervil and Peppers would be scary on 3rd and long. Too bad Peppers only wants to play for a 3-4 team, and McDaniels has a "plan" and it doesn't matter if it makes the team worse or not he is sticking to it.

Peppers and Doom at OLB, Maualuga and DJ on the inside would be fearsome if we can get some help at NT. Man, that would turn this whole defense around rather quickly... |

He's due something like 17.5 million this year from the tag. Next year if they tag him again, it will be about 20 million. Peppers ain't going anywhere without a new deal worth at least 37 mill guaranteed.
