No earth-shattering news here, but the most interesting results are: FS Louis Delmas, 12 (Most teams would like their free safeties to be a little smarter than that) C AQ Shipley, 40 (Gotta love those smart O-Linemen) QB Nate Davis, 11 (Welcome to the CFL, Nate) RB Jeremiah Johnson, 9 (One of Mel Kiper's sleeper picks is officially 2009's dumbest man) CB Kevin Barnes, 41 (Odd to have the best score in the draft class from a cornerback....) |

If they posted the Miami players scores they would be the lowest ones at the combine.

Not a slight against the DBs, per se, but rather an observation that the top scores almost always are from the O-linemen or quarterbacks. On defense, the top scores are almost always from the free safeties.
In fact, I wonder if the NFL gives a red flag to players such as Barnes who score "too high" for their position -- on the theory that they want players reacting instead of thinking. |

I watched Nate Davis play @ high school and thought he was a raw talent. Felt he should have stayed at Ball St. one more year. But he listened to his big brother (Jose Davis) whom played for the Crush back in 05 and hoped around arena and CFL leagues. Jose told him to come out this year.
Jose is now going to be starting his first year of being a High School Head coach @ his alma mater... I get the feeling Nate will be doing the same thing in about 6 years. Reports have said Nate has a learning disability, not sure how that plays into his score. |

it would be fun to see the intelligent nba players scores on this test. most are doing well if two words can be put together. actually some of the international players who know limited english would do better than the thugs.

Vontae Davis... 33 . didn't see that coming then again you usually have to be pretty smart to get into Illinois ( even the athletes). He is going to tear it up in the NFL.

Anyone know where I can find a sample of one of these tests. From what I've read of sample questions, you have to be borderline retarded to get below a 30...

Looking at just the one score, like Delmas, that is 12 out of 24, 50% and the average for a FS was 51%, 19/37.

You and every one else whats your reasoning for that?
He reminds me of champ... more outspoken though. He has it all size, instincts, fastest corner in the draft on game day, Loves to hit. He is a complete corner. Too bad the rest of Illinois secondary was so bad. They ran alot of zone that got ripped up bad. He can make some insane plays as far as breakups and picks go. I don't see why everyone is picking him to be a bust. |

While I think the Wonderlic is a fairly poor indicator of football skill, a score of 12/24 does indicate that Delmas will be challenged by an NFL playbook. |
