It was just one question, and it was just on Facebook 'Wall-to-Wall' ...

But hey, this is good info!

(See GREEN arrows)
He's wearing a #75 Broncos jeresey there.

If he can bulk up I think he would be perfect at NT

I am not sure what his weight is, and asking him to get to like 320 may be too much.

But he was a run stuffing beast in college

Yeah ... they said he was the #1 player in the country in yards-per-carry against.

I dunno how they figure such a stat, but it sounds pretty awesome.

Should I go in for a follow-up question? Gimme some ideas ...

Yeah, wasnt he the only one that had a negative YPC against? I seem to remember that from another interview.

Film review of plays run at his gap responsibility by Va Tech's coaches.

Follow up question would be,"How does he feel about playing the nose in a 3-4 And having to do the dirty work for the players around him to Make a play?"

My guess is they just haven't been on the site the past couple days, I say be patient. You requested them yesterday from that Facebook thread?

("Caucasian Menudo" was a pretty classic line, wasn't it? )

I actually believe this is true as incredible as it sounds! I remember reading something like this.
I think he will fit as a DE though better. He seems to have enough bulk, plus the speed to get off the line and attack, plus make reads as well.
Hes right in that weird zone for his weight in a 3-4.

Found it.

http://www.milehighreport.com/2008/5...questions-with

Quote:
MHR -- How surprised were you that the Broncos were the team that drafted you?

CP -- On a Scale from 1-10 I would say an 8.

MHR -- Was there any contact between you and the Broncos prior to the draft?

CP -- The only time was at the Combine when I talked to Coach Johnson in the war room.

MHR -- Many fans at milehighreport.com share the belief that the DT position was the major defensive weakness in '07. Coach Shanahan has brought in DeWayne Robertson from NY and you from the draft to help our current guys out. What can you share with the fans to give us some hope that our DT group will be ready to rock in '08?

CP -- Well I was the only active DT in the Div. 1-A collegiate ranks to have held the opponents to minus yardage rushing in my career so I know I can help.

MHR -- How do you think your style of DT play compares to the style of DT Denver needs on the line?

CP -- Well my style is kind of a smash and grab and I like causing havoc and making it hard for the Offense to get any plays together.

MHR -- Can you tell us how your faith has helped you be a better football player?

CP -- My faith just helped me in general be a better person which translates to a better ball player.

MHR -- How did the events of 04/16/07 shape you as a person, a football player, and a teammate?

CP -- It definitely shook me up a little bit and made me realize that tomorrow’s not really promised so you need to live every day and appreciate your loved ones. I like to say to make sure you accomplish something every day and live it to the fullest.

MHR -- When you look at the Broncos, particularly on the defensive line, what do you see?

CP -- I see a lot of potential. I see myself getting right into rotation and competing for the starting job and making every body else better.

MHR -- What is involved in being a solid run-stuffer?

CP -- Definitely you got to have a lot of strength and be strong-minded especially with the double team because you just have to clog up the hole so the linebacker can run free.

MHR -- If you could compare yourself to one player currently in the League, who would that be and why?

CP -- Not one player but I take different aspects from different players. I’m kind of like a jack of all trades.

MHR -- What can you tell us about Eddie Royal?

CP -- Eddie Royal is a great guy – very productive and a great wide receiver.

Here is the Info about Powell's CAREER versus the run:

Powell is the only active defensive tackle in the Division 1-A collegiate ranks to have held the opponent to minus yardage rushing during his career (106 plays for losses of 13 yards)...The only time an opponent registered a rushing attempt for more than 10 yards vs. Powell came on a 13-yard gain by Virginia's Mikell Simpson in 2007...Only four times during his 104 career tackles has the opposition managed to register a first down on that play.

He'd need about 40 pounds...he's listed at 300 right now. I think he gets a shot at one of the DE spots but I think he's just to light for the NT spot.

Seems to know talent as well!
I like the "jack of all trades" label.

That is the bane of the 2 gap NT. Hey, it's a risky question. He might be impressed you know that or he might give you the axe. It's your question to ask though

However, he did it for Vatech as well. So, I doubt he would take offense

I'm excited about this kid. Probably no good reason, I just am. It was such a drag not to see if he could contribute last season.
