I have an idea of a little contest for board bragging rights among the Broncos faithful.
it is a mock draft challenge. basically it will play out like this. every person interested puts down a full 7 round mock of what they feel our Denver Broncos will do on draft weekend(only the Broncos, because all 32 teams would be a pain in the ass) points would be awarded on a round basis, with the 1st round being worth 1and up to the 7th round being worth 7 points. the points are set up least to most by round as it becomes more difficult to decide on players in the later rounds. 1st couple rounds are followed more and we all have a basic idea of who or what position we will go after in the 1st couple rounds, so early rounds are easier and later rounds are harder and thus worth more points. winner is the man or woman with the most points on correct picks. on every pick that is missed you lose a point. in the case of your mock choosing a player in a different pick then they are actually chosen(example: you picked Tyson Jackson at 12, Denver actually picks him at 18) you are awarded half of that rounds point value for the pick trades will not be included in the challenge, because if trades don't actually happen it screws up the mock and makes scoring difficult. if Denver does actually trade picks or players to add picks and move down or up, that round will be subject to change, and may be scrapped all together. all Mocks must be in by the friday before draft weekend, anyone can participate, there are no limits on the amount of people who might be interested. if you have any questions or comments put them in this thread, and i will answer them if you wish to participate, say yes in this thread, so that i have a somewat accurate count of how many will be involved. it isn't a perfect game, but it adds a little more fun to the draft weekend and gives people opportunity for board supremacy for a little while. |

Sounds like fun. Do we get points for selecting the right player but incorrect round?
