Default RIP Harry Kalas... You were the BEST

Many outside of Philly won't know him by the name, but, as ffotball fans, you've ALL heard his voice. Besides being the Philadelphia Phillies announcer since 1971 (Baseball HOF), Harry was also the voice of NFL Films. Harry was the voice you heard on teams highlinght videos and the voice you heard on Inside the NFL.
This was personal for me. harry was like the Grandfather I never met. I heard him every night for the last 25 or so years. He will be incredibly missed by every Phillie fan.
You were the best Harry. baseball will NEVER be the same without you!!!

I spent many a childhood night listening to 'Harry the great' during many of his fantastic Phillies baseball broadcasts on WTAF/WTXF channel 29 ---He and Richie Ashburn(RIP) were tremendous--I remember the Mike Schmidt 500th VERY WELL. Harry Kalas will be missed......

"Swing and a long drive, watch that baby, WAAAY outta here. HomeRun, Michael Jack Schmidt"

That was my favorite until......

"Lidge in the stretch, Here's the pitch, SWING AND A MISS, STRUCK EM OUT, AND THE PHILLIES ARE 2008, WORLD CHAMPIONS OF BASEBALL"

Yeah, I moved out of the area to go to college in 1995 and I haven't been back since(TX, OHIO back to Dallas again)--but I can tell you that he is certainly a part of this sportsfan's fondest childhood memories--
