Just givin you a hard time.

Tell me why you think Matthews would be worth a 12 pick, and why he is any better than Barwin, Cushing, or even Larry English?

I assume you are looking at Matthews to be our starting SAM right? That means he must outfight TE's and often OT's on every play. Have you seen him duke it out on the line, or have you just watched him run in open space? I just haven't seen any tape of him being able to be stout at the LOS and turn running plays back inside. We have to stop the run first.

I like Barwin and Larry English to have those skills, plus they are proven pass rushers. They can both beat starting OT's and get sacks - proven. A good SAM has to do this first, and cover short passes second (which is where Matthews seems to fit in).

If you have video of Matthews kicking ass at the LOS, i'd love to see it. But, I think many of the best SAM's are converted DE's, not just "LB's."

If Tyson Jackson is there at 12, we have to take him. He's too solid and he'll help us in the area we need it most-DL. I'd take Matthews or Rey at 18 though for sure, I love the intensity Clay brings.

add in the NT from Michigan I think it's Taylor instead of a TE and I'd take it

no way Laurinitis falls to 48..

Jackson may not be flashy, but he fills the need of run stopper at the 3/4 DE spot which we need.

I would be ok with Rey Rey at 18.

I like Mitch King, but what role would he have on our 3/4 D? Can he stand up and rush the passer?

Now that I got your attention...

Just say no to Matthews at 12.

And yes to Jackson.

i'd gladly take Matthews at 18. 12 is too soon. the dude plays hard, he has a nastiness to him a mean streak, goes all out every play, has good speed, can hang with and fight TEs. barring injury he will be a guy getting notice at the end of the season for DROY.

Clay Mathews could be a good pick at 18 but not at 12. I think the Broncos trade up with 12 pick with Sheffler and get either Raji, Brown, or Orakpo. The 18 pick go with Jackson, Maclin ,Wells, Mathews or Barwin. I also like going after Matthias Kiwinuka with 18 pick. I would do a 18 pick for Kiwinuka and 60 pick plus a 5 rounder. The Broncos would have to get Kiwinuka locked up to a long contract before the trade. Having Kiwinuka and Orakpo at outside linebacker would be great. The Broncos look at Brace with 48 pick and William Moore or Patrick Chung with 60 pick. The 3 round go with Alex Magee and Shawn Nelson.

Dude Rey does NOT fit the 4-3 scheme that we will use part time. not to mention but there are people out there that think rey is a 2 down player in a 3-4 i mean come on people. I'm sorry So but this mock does suck.. both of them.

The Broncos will never take two Grahams in one draft.

12 it too early for Matthews. If we really want him, it wold be in our best interest to trade back. Rey is pretty solid value at 18. Overall I like the first one better. There is no way Laurinaitis lasts to 48. He will most likely be taken late 1st, early 2nd.
