Default What number does Orton wear?

18 is retired because Tripucka wore it for all of three seasons and the struggling Denver Broncos were trying to create a sense of history for the fledgling franchise. There was a period where the front office entertained "unretiring" the number but they never followed through on that.

Orton has worn 18 since college. So this begs the question, what number will he wear?

Will it be un-retired for him? Not likely for what most see as a role player.

Will he take 8 so it's just one digit off what he likes? Or how about 9 because it's half of 18 and the sum of both digits (that's what I'd do.) Or maybe the next closest number like 19 or 17.

Thoughts?

Screw it. Give him 18. Tripucka and Orton were probably about the same caliber of player anyway.

I wonder if they allow players to wear that number anymore.

How about "^" since that's what pops up when you hit shift + 6.

And, yet, for some reason, they won't retire Terrell's #. Sad.

If Mike Bell can wear #30, then Orton should be able to wear 18.

A funny number oddity is that as of right now none of our WRs have a number in the 80s. They are all in the teens.
