Default Cutler wanted no part of Mangini

Mangini reportedly was willing to give up Brady Quinn in a deal for Cutler. Quinn, who played for former Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis at Notre Dame, might have been a good fit in McDaniels' system. But Cook made it clear when talks began that Cutler wanted no part of Mangini, and fears that he wouldn't report to the Browns shut down that deal.

Is it true that Cutler got 45 mil of his 48 mil contract and then decided to take his money, crap all over Denver and get out?

God, I wish we would have traded him there just to see him pull the same douchebag routine in Cleveland that he did here. God, that woulda been great.

I'm wondering how he's going to do with Ron Turner. The two have a history, you know...

His contract wasn't over, who cares if Jay doesn't want to play there? Or, was it Cleveland that nixed the deal, knowing this info?

I think Cleveland nixed it, probably because Bus Cook (there's that name again!) said he wouldn't report to Cleveland.

I hope Orton doesn't get wind of the fact that McDaniels had talks about acquiring Brady Quinn. His feelings may get hurt and then we have another problem on our hands.

No. He's due two significant bonuses next year and the final year of his deal, the one his final year I know is $10+M.

He'll get the same Offensive scheme that Grossman got:

Run to darkness
Run for two yards
BOMB!

Fourth down.

Yeah, but interceptions will come on third down.

If true, I wonder what the Cutler apologists will say about this? Oh, it's everyone else's fault. Poor Jay, everyone is out to get him.

Staying in denver was hurting his career. yeaahh right. He's a manb**** overloaded with estrogen.
Oh, and Elway's dad is the reason he didn't want to go to Baltimore.

But Grossman was a gunslinger! you know, cocky, hurling balls into coverage, defense be damned...a bad headcase. Has a winning record because of defense, so they say.

Now they've got Cutler, a cocky gunslinger that hurls balls into coverage, defense be damned...a good headcase. Has a losing record because of defense, so they say.

no wait...

No, there's a difference. Elway did it once, regarding one guy - Frank Kush. If you're comparing the situation with Elway - saying he wouldn't play for one franchise/coach - with Cutler - not returning calls, going back and forth on his statements, refusing to talk with his coach without his agent present, etc - then I don't know what to tell you.

A better analogy for you, if you want to use Elway, is in the early 90's when Reeves wanted to trade him to the Redskins. Elway was angry about that, and how did he handle it?

Also Elway stated he would play baseball. Also he had not signed a contract with any NFL team. Saying you will play a different sport, and saying you will sit at home and mope and cry till you get your way are 2 different things IMO.
