So body language doesn't count coming from McDaniels, but it does now...?

Let me adjust my notes so I can get this all straight.

actually, there are parts of India where a shaking of the head from side to side (which looks like a NO to those of us here in the states) actually means YES. i worked with an engineer from India who did that and it confused me every time. he would shake his head as if he was saying No when he really meant YES.

not really relevant here, but just thought i'd throw that out there...

Hester said he was pretty excited about Cutler. I dont doubt that Bear players are excited but they also said they were disappointed to see Orton go which spoke volumes to me as a Bronco fan.

meh...he's shaking his head even for the questions that aren't about Cutler...you might be right about his lack of enthusiasm, but it kind of just looks like the way he talks.

i think im going to put this interview as neutral. he might be happy to see cutler come, but hes mad that orton has to go.

however, the broncos are all like "its a business" and stuff that pretty much universally supports the team, not cutler.

on sirius they said orton is the ultimate film/workout/team player.

Cutler will make Olsen better. Olsen is better and more healthy than Sheff.

They will be a great combo for years.

BTW the local radio here in Chicago is full of Bear teammates that love Cutler and his leadership and attitude.

It is only the Denver locals and a few Ex Pats fans like you who hate Cutler.

i dont hate cutler at all. but hes not a bronco, nor has he done anything "team-like" in the past month. if it comes down to the team or a player, i will pick the team every single team. this is a team sport, there is 52 other guys on it that appreciate that, cutler did not.

How would they know about his "leadership and attitude"? And do you expect the players to say something negative about their incoming QB? The guy has great talent and potential but leadership and attitude aren't his strong points. If they were he'd still be a Denver Bronco.

And lots of players around the league are less than fond of Jay Cutler. Where have you been that you're not aware of this?

Is this what they teach up there in college park?

You know what guys this deal will either validate or negate lot of things about Jay's career.

Jay is going to a situation where defense and special teams are not a problem and if he fails again in Chi, may be there is something to the winner/looser thing and we will find out.

Similarly, Orton can also win a lot of credibility for the Trent Dilfers of the world who have won a lot of games but never got their due because they played on strong teams.

I for one believe the concerns over Jay's work ethic, alcoholism, lack of leader ship skills are over blown. I would like to think that the Bears probably talked to the 3 Vandy players on their team before investing their future in Jay.

Not in my book but there are lot of maners who pull out 17-20 card as a proof that there is something wrong with Jay and he will never win blah blah.

IIRC some one even wrote that he wishes Jay dies young due to diabetes. Really this kind of bitterness is sad. Now we are trying to read too much into anything. We are having threads like Olson is shaking his head so he must displike Jay, no Bronco player suported Jay so he is a cancer.

He can shut them all up by winning in Chi. I will defintely root for his success.

1. Look at ESPN's Sportsnation poll. Every state in the country except Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee thought that Denver got the better end of the deal. Fox Sports shows that Denver got the better deal.

2. On CBS Sportsline, two columnists think poorly about Cutler.

3. We all know about Kiper's dislike of Cutler. Many columnists (who have much more experience talking with teams and players) think that Cutler is out of line.

I think its pretty much split 50-50 on like dislike.

I have decent hopes for Orton, his career record is 21-12.. which is not bad. If we improve our defense, it looks like he won't be the reason why the Broncos lose games (but also may not win the crazy ones that Cutler would have.)

I know Cutler had his shortcomings between the ears and quarterbacks are judged by wins and losses, but to suggest Jay didn't get it done because he was 17-20 is ****ing stupid.

Gold said he had met Cutler many times and was excited about his passion for the game and his attitude.

They had Desmond Clark on who said the same thing.

Plus many others mentioned that they were in awe of his ability when they played against him 2 years ago.

Throw in the guys he went to school with and it is not like no one on the team has heard of him or met him.

Sportsnation pollers: a legion of pudgy, pasty, pimple faced poons who facebook all day and half the night, voting over and over under twenty aliases.

Funny, all this 'enthusiam' for Jay. There are rules in the NFL...

You back a teammate no matter how absurd, ridiculous or out of context a situation is. Even if you hate his @ss, say you love him.

you're always 'excited' at anything new, regardless.

you give the stock answer about the coaches doing what's best for the team.

You give the standard answer about being excited to work with a new player.

yeah well one of those rules is understanding that front offices make and take phone calls about players and doing so isn't a reflection of the loyalty a team has toward that player...it's a mandated aspect of running a franchise...somehow Jay Culter decided he was above this rule

Hmm, a few Bronco players who have actually played with the guy state Cutler is a loner and pretty much to himself, yet Bear players who have not played with him, are supposedly saying what a great leader Cutler is. Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. More Cutler fan BS. Amazing the blind loyalty a QB with a 17-20 record can create.
