Don't plan on hearing anything groundbreaking. Just a fair warning.

Yep, that is about the last place coach McDoggie would go to make a huge announcement.

Probably just Jay is out quarterback, we need to communicate, etc. Question is whether this is just to drive up the trade value?

Trust me, the only place he has limited trade value is on the Mane...

This is the FO way of starting the peace process. If McDaniels wants a job beyong next season he's going to need more than Chris Simms throwing the ball.

It's a good question. It does seem like timing is a little weird. But, he may just come on and try to talk about other things outside of Cutler. (Not that they'll let him.)

I do expect the "Jay is our QB" stance... and "we're working on getting Jay in for another meeting and expect to see him at camp."

Standard stuff, I'd bet.

How funny would it be if it was really Kenny Peterson fielding the questions again instead of McDaniels?

I expect him to pull of his face skin and reveal that he is actually Al Davis.

I'm sure he'll say, "It's a shame that the Broncos went 7-9 followed by 8-8, and was the first team in NFL history to have a three game lead in their division and lose all three games to drop out of the playoffs, in the process, getting embarassed by the Chargers in San Diego and getting our asses kicked in our own house by the Raiders. I'm sure if only Shanahan and Co. had stayed one more year, we were SB bound. Now I'm brought in to fix what obviously wasn't broken, right? And all the ridiculous changes I'm making to this franchise are totally unnecessary because Shanahan had you bozos convinced, year after year after year, that we were only a couple of pieces away. And I really hate to be the one to break it to you, but you're all ****ing deluded. This franchise is a ****ing train wreck. Your QB has a great arm but the personality of ****ing Shirley Temple, and your lead receiver can't wait to get his ass thrown in prison for abusing women, and your running back corps looks like a bunch of refugees from a bus station. Fortunately, we've got a good Oline, a good Oline coach, and the best running coach in the league. Plus, we have an owner who is willing to do what it takes to bring winning back to Denver. So all you whiny beetches, STFU and let me do my job."

I'm sure that's what he'll say.

If he says how much he wants to fix things with Cutler, and how good he thinks Cutler is, then maybe it will help some. Cutler at this point IMO just wants to save face and get back to Broncos without taking a hit to his ego. Mcdaniels wants to make sure he has the aura of being in charge and not bowing down to Cutler and Bus Cook.
