Default Brady Quinn

http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80c4760d

This is what McDaniels is looking for. A QB with ties to the Patriots. He wants "his" guy at QB, not just any quarterback, we could just keep Cutler if that were the case. He wants somebody who understands how the Patriots offense works, or somebody who has the tools, leadership etc. to thrive in that type of offense. Somebody like Tom Brady, Matt Cassel. Charlie Weis created Tom Brady and he did the same thing in college with Brady Quinn, so this would make a lot of sense. He even said that Brady Quinn could be the next Tom Brady. The guy from NFLdraftcountdown.com said Brady Quinn was the best college QB he has scouted in the last 10 years.

And McDaniels stated that he's not gonna take draft picks in return for Cutler, he's not interested in a rookie QB. None of those guys fit in his offense anyway. But the Browns have two Quarterbacks. They have a very early 1st round pick, they have two (!) 2nd round picks. They also have DT Shaun Rogers who seems to be pissed right now, it sounds like he wants out. So there's a lot of ammunition, this deal could happen. And notice how the Browns gave up Kellen Winslow a few weeks ago. Sheffler is on the trading block. Huh? Huh?!
Maybe this whole thing makes just too much sense. The Browns need a TE, they also want to trade one of their QB's. We have a QB and a TE on the trading block and we're looking for a QB with ties to the Patriots (Quinn).

Is there another QB out there that you would rather have over Cutler? We're talking about AVAILABLE QB's right now. I don't think so. Even the guys that are not available, none of them have any ties to the Patriots.

We give up: QB Cutler, TE Sheffler
Browns give up: QB Brady Quinn, their 2nd round pick (37th overall), DT Shaun Rogers

OR

We give up: QB Cutler, TE Sheffler, 1st round pick (12th overall)
Browns give up: QB Quinn, 2nd round pick, 1st round pick (5th overall)

Something like that, it's not 100% accurate obviously. Maybe the Browns will have to add more picks etc. who knows. But then we pick up BJ Raji at #5 and build a similar defense the Pats have with NT Wilfork in the middle.

He probably has the biggest upside to any other QB out there... I'll admit he played pretty well against us last year, sorry I forgot that doesnt mean much

He sat on the bench while Derek Anderson was playing. He was given every chance to win the job, and couln't. Yeah I think he's the guy we need.

This is unconfirmed, however an inside source says a trade that will bring Jay Cutler to Washington is almost complete.

The leak came roughly about 1 hour ago. Negotiations between Cutlerís agent, Pat Bowlen, Daniel Snyder, and the Cleveland Browns management have been ongoing for a few days and all sides seem to be happy.

The deal would see Jay Cutler, Tony Scheffler and Clevelandís 3rd round pick going to Washington.

Jason Campbell and Chris Cooley Going to Cleveland and one of Denverís 5th round picks.

Brady Quinn going from Cleveland to Denver and LaRon Landry from Washington will be going to Denver. And we thought that the Bailey-Portis trade was big. Our source says that teams will announce the deal at 5pm this evening.

Actually, he wasn't given the chance to beat out Anderson. Anderson was installed as the starter at the start of the season, and that was that. When he was well below-average, Quinn came in and played well before getting hurt.

If we can't have Cutler, my first choice would absolutely be Quinn.

I'm not a Pat fan to say the least, in fact I root for them to lose every game they play, but bottom line is 4 Super Bowls the last 7 years with a philosophy on offense this coach wants to employ here.

If Cutler wants to part of that, then that speaks volumes.

He can't even beat out Derek Anderson.
Hell, even the Ravens released him with all their previous QB troubles.

According to Pat Kirwan, the value of Cutler is 2 firsts and a player. Here we would be getting one first (Laron Landry), a player (Brady Quinn)...but we're missing a first. Plus theres no consideration for Scheffler in addition to us giving up our 5th.

This is a horrible deal. We're getting soaked in this.

Funny how the Bleacher Report mess was already moved to the 'humor' section.

Cutler is clearly worth nothing less than Quinn, Landry, Rogers, and three first day picks. Several teams might have to settle for partial ownership of Cutler's rights, but I'm confident the FO can get r' done.

Lex, you should know better than to believe this crap. It was posted cause the guy who made this thread had all kinds of trades and ideas for Quinn, so i posted it. Jeez, lex.

One of the worst defenses, and his first signing is a long snapper. The he proceeds to sign more CB's and one good safety. Now he seems hell bent to find his QB eqivalent of a snuggy. Yeah great job so far.

I wonder why Shaun Smith isn't part of the deal?

Is Brady bringing his "partner?"

No that there's anything wrong with that...
