Why would you want a desktop when a laptop is so much more portable...not to mention most places have free WI FI.

I dont have to use other places wi fi , I got an air time card in a USB port .... I dont ever take my computer out of my truck

I just think the laptop would be easier. I like the convienience of being able to move it around if I want to. Not to mention, it takes up less space.

Not sure a PC will take the vibration over time spider they are not designed for that.

this last break down took me by surprise ...... i was pulling a hill outside of Binghamton new york , when one of the heat core hoses going ot the sleeper broke , I shut down all of the valves , lost 5 gallons of anti freeze ( 12 gallon radiator) , but it still got hot enough to crack the thermostat housing .... But my truck is done , I just need to go get it

Desktops are cheaper to buy for the same specs. They are easier to service, repair, and upgrade. Laptops are easier to be stolen from your truck.

If you never MOVE your laptop, there's no reason to pay twice as much for a smaller computer. Just get a desktop.

get a desktop and an acer NEtbook...........you can get both for the price of a laptop. Plus then you ahve a backup in case one goes down. the netbooks ar enice, small, and very portable.
