Okay McD haters... time to GET OFF your McD Hate wagons and stop calling him a Liar! If this article is true, and it sounds really plausible to me and Klis is reasonably solid as a reporter, then this is 'Narcisstic Bill'.. ( or is that 'Anti Social-Pyschopath Bill' :-) ****ing with his former BEST FRIEND on his new job!! What and A****hole
The good news is that even though Josh just got a priceless new education in the dirty dealings of a backstabbing Son of a B****, at least now he will know never to trust that MoFO again and, to be his own man from now own ..Hes a Bronco now and NE and Belichick are the enemy! AND ACCORDING THIS THIS IN SPITE OF BELICHEAT AGGRESSIVELY PUSHING THE DEAL ON McD HE NEVER CAME CLOSE TO GIVING UP CUTLER!!!! IF Jay is still b****ing after all of THIS, then he really is a spoiled whiny P***y and has no business leading anyone. Wake up call Jay, time to wake (grow) up from your nightmare! http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_11915700 Klis: New twist in Broncos' soap opera By Mike Klis The Denver Post Posted: 03/15/2009 12:30:00 AM MDT Somewhere, no doubt behind a closed door, New England coach Bill Belichick may be snickering. McJaygate? When all else fails, blame it on Belichick. According to an NFL source, the proposed trade that never materialized but nevertheless turned Broncos' headquarters into "All My Children" didn't go down as so many reports suggest. The deal that would have sent Jay Cutler elsewhere and New England quarterback Matt Cassel to Denver didn't collapse because Broncos coach Josh McDaniels entered the discussions late. Nor is it true that Belichick took a lesser deal from the Chiefs — the No. 34 overall draft pick in return for not only Cassel but linebacker Mike Vrabel — so he could stick it to his protege. Belichick might have stuck it to McDaniels, all right. But it's laughable to think Belichick, the NFL's No. 1 football mind, would make a deal to spite himself. The source, who was involved in the trade discussions, says Belichick aggressively pushed Cassel upon McDaniels from the onset. McDaniels may have allowed loyalty to cloud his judgment and entertained Belichick's proposals far too long. But according to the source, not one of the many trade offers that swung through Dove Valley came close to pushing the Broncos into striking a deal. The next thing you know, the Boston Globe breaks the story heard 'round the NFL that the Broncos were discussing a Cutler-Cassel trade. And McDaniels' coaching career is baptized with a quarterback controversy before he can run his first team through wind sprints. Maybe someday — maybe even Monday, when the new coach conducts his first team meeting — McDaniels and Cutler will share a laugh over the drama that was McJaygate. Belichick might still be laughing. Head scratcher. Cutler's attitude toward McDaniels is the first subject that comes up. But something else front offices across NFL-land are wondering: What are the Broncos doing at running back? No doubt, the Broncos needed to add a free-agent running back following a season in which the only back left standing was a cellphone salesman (Tatum Bell). It even made sense when the Broncos signed Correll Buckhalter and J.J. Arrington, whose styles complement each other. But when LaMont Jordan made it three free-agent backs, eyebrows raised, especially when holdovers Peyton Hillis and Ryan Torain showed so much promise as rookies. The cache of running backs is easier to understand, however, when following still another trail back to New England, where Mc- Daniels served as offensive coordinator the past three seasons. The Patriots had four running backs get at least 74 carries last season, none of whom was Laurence Maroney, their best rusher who has never had as much as a 900-yard season. "More than anything, what you're going to see in Denver more than ever before is a lot of packages," said NFL analyst Mark Schlereth, the former Broncos guard. "There are running backs for certain packages. Everybody runs it like that to a certain degree, but the Patriots do more of that than anybody." Denver, Draft and D-linemen. The most significant positional adjustments while converting from a 4-3 defense to the 3-4 are the nose tackle and the five-technique defensive end. It was surprising, then, the Broncos didn't make those two positions a priority during free agency. They signed three starting defensive backs and three running backs, but took economical routes in adding career backup Ron Fields at defensive tackle and re-signing Kenny Peterson for the five-technique. What the Denver Patriots — or is that the New England Broncos? — really need is the next Vince Wilfork (nose tackle) and Richard Seymour (five-technique). Clearly, the Broncos will go defensive tackle and end early in the draft. Their first choice would be B.J. Raji, but the Boston College defensive tackle is expected to be gone by the time the Broncos select with their No. 12 overall pick. The best five-technique defensive end is LSU's Tyson Jackson. I've been saying the Hoodie was in on this from the beginning, steamrolling McDaniels. The problem isn't that he was up for discussion, it's how he's handled the situation since then. All the delays and "leaks" are his only efforts. I hate to quote Mike and Mike because they're ESPN shock jocks but they made a great point on Friday when they said, "Wouldn't anyone in the league being flying to Tennessee to save the relationship with a potential franchise QB despite his personality quirks? Aren't franchise QB's difficult to come by?" It sucks to have to agree with those to buffoons but then again, I've agree a lot with Appa over the last couple of seasons as well....... |

Strangely, I have never visited Amsterdam, though it's now high on the list with Prague and Istanbul. I hope you're having a great time there and sampling lots of 'coffee'. ![]() |

I wouldn't be a bit surprised. Still, I suspect the reason this has been kept going day after day has more to do with Jay's agent than with Bellychix.

If this story is correct, McD got schooled by the 'Hood.'
I can see how he might have been kept on the hook too long with a convoluted deal meant to embarrass and create discord in Bronco country. Hopefully, he and Jay can sit down and find the truth in this drama......it's been blown way out of proportion and needs to be settled like grown ups. |

Does no one in the front office exist save McDaniels? It's absurd to think that this was simply a Bellicheat v. McD. in any trade talk.

Favre is out of the lime light right now. Cook needed the spotlight back on one of his clients here we are. I wish Brett was still thinking it over then we wouldn't be in this situation because Cook would be coddling Favre right now.

I just hope this real truth comes out soon
Cook wants a long term deal for Jay now. He is slinging the bad PR towards McD so fans take their side. If it does not happen he wants trade. |

Who else is there? Xanders? who reportly is the one that had to step in and say "no". Or Kidd? - ESPiN second stringer that most likely believes Cassell is the better QB. Or Bowlen? whom seem to have divorced himself from being the "man". Goodmans? they are gone

Give him some slack. Even if he got hood winked for a short while by his formally 'best friend' and master manipulator Belichick.. HE STILL did not fall for the easy hook 'The Devil' was dangling for him and never came close to trading Cutler. Think of all the deals Shanny tried to pull off that fell through from one reason or another. Happens all the time. People here are too quick, So Cal in particular, to tar and feather the guy out of some missed placed hurt feelings about Shanny getting canned. He IS our coach now and any Bronco fan worth **** should at least wish the guy your best until he can field his first team and get through a season for Pete's sake!
