OT: DVR Alert for this Sunday night... - The Orange Mane

The JS Show/CNBC talk reminded me of a show that's re-running this Sunday night on CNBC that I highly, highly recommend you all tivo and watch at some point.

It's a 2-hour special called House of Cards. It chronicles the economic collapse, mainly centered around the housing market. It's absolutely fascinating, and very smartly done. Even if you have low or no interest in markets or economics in general... we are living in an absolutely historic time period right now. I really highly recommend watching this. It's part of our generation's history and something you'll probably have to explain to your kids and grandkids.

It's just fascinating on so many levels from the human interest level, to the greed, to the multiplicity of perpetrators, to those who tried to warn us.... and on and on.

Plus, if you don't have a perfect grip on exactly what happened, this really capsulizes it nicely.

It's a two hour train-wreck you just can't look away from. Check it out.

Oh, and air time is somewhere around 9:00 pm pacific, so it's in that range.

Thanks, I set the directv dvr online to record that or I would have forgotten by the time I got home...........its 8:00 central for me.

Thanks for the alert, Popps... I caught some of this a couple weeks back and it looked good. I think the wife made me change the channel to Food Network or something though. I'll have to catch the whole thing this time around.

Yea, not everyone will find it as riveting as I did.

I'd still recommend tivoing it for those who can, though. Personally, I find it easier to enjoy and concentrate on something like this on the big screen. Either way, hope you get a chance to check it out.

Now why on Earth would anyone want to watch this? No comedians are involved in it and there's no Morton Downey Jr type confrontations to be found anywhere during the program, just a bunch of boring financial doubletalk. ZZZzzzzzz.
