Default Another Cutler Thread! Browns interested.....

Listening to the local sports radio at work here in cleveland today and they were talking about the cutler fiasco.

There was some charity event, and an "unnamed" browns associate said that the browns would be willing to give up Brady Quinn and Shaun Smith (DL) for Cutler.

I hope that doesn't go through..........But of all the trade rumors floating around..............this one seems to be the best for us.

Shaun Smith has said in public that he doesn't want to play for mangini.......and quinn could become a good Qb.

I think you mean Shaun Rogers, not Smith. And if they throw in their first round pick you'd at least have to consider it...

I like how people say Quinn looked good last year in the game he played but fail to point out that game was vs us and Jay still found away to steal that game from him.

SCREW SHAUN SMITH, SHAUN ROGERS OR NO DEAL!

Plus their 1st! Cutler is worth a hell of a lot more than that BS!

Lots of people hate Mangini because he's a Napoleonic tyrant... it's a trait that rubs off on the youth who come out of the Belicheat camp. Hardly surprising they have multiple people in Cleavland that want out. Belicheat spawns become indoctrinated in the authoritarian management style. Charlie Weis is similar too in the college ranks (granted he's older).

No one will be stealing Jay Cutler from us. Broncos will have a rough training camp but IMO eventually qb and coach will make up. Cutler will start to do well in the new offense and learn he can get huge numbers in it. Mcdaniels will give him plenty of 3 wr sets, and have him throwing to RBS. I think Pats last 2-3 yrs been more creative in the redzone then the Broncos have been.

We won't be moving Jay unless it's a killer deal for the broncos. 2 first round picks minimum with one pick being for sure top 10.

I hope it doesn't happen. I hope Cutler just realizes playing for Broncos will be a great thing.

Clady needs to stay in the weight room and then I think he will improve in the run blocking. He looked a little weak in the upper body to me at certain times last yr. He moves his feet so well that it doesn't hurt him pass blocking.

Hopefully he keeps lifting, he does that he will get stronger.

You don't say. He's an NFL player. He plays on the line. I think it's safe to say he lifts weights and will continue to lift weights. If he didn't lift, it would be like, the first time ever I heard of an NFL linemen not lifting weights.

Look - Brady Quinn, Shaun Rogers and their #1 pick, ughhhh, I would be thinking REAL hard on that one. That would be tempting. If they wanted to throw in a 3rd in exchange for Schef with that deal, I think I would do it.

Haha, Brady would not like that, pretty sure Shaun Smith is the one who tried to punch him last season isn't he?

Yeah, Shaun Rogers was the one having trouble with Mangini, and we still need a NT.

Rogers, Quinn and a #1 might be interesting. I kinda hate Quinn personally, but he is the type of quarterback that could thrive in the Josh offense.

#1 #20 or #1 and 2010 #1 is minimum before I'd even start listening if we do this.

Why not Quinn, Rogers and this year's #1 (#5 overall)?

I might even do that ... use both #5 and #12 on defense and become a defensive team ... Simms and Quinn can battle for starter honors, they both have the risk-avoidant style that Josh's offense seems to need from a quarterback. Plus we get a very good starting NT.
