I called it, folks!

It took 3 season for Broncos fans to turn on their quarterback.

Strange, I haven't turned on him, and I'm the strongest poster (by far) on this board.

I do expect him to grow up.

I'm 100% behind Jay if he is here. Thought he handled it poorly is all.

You are gonna break your arm patting urself on the back like that, Llama.

Besides, why would you be so proud about predicting something so crummy? I could see being proud about predicting him winning the SB in 3 years - but this? Seems silly to me.

Yeah...the arm is already cramping a bit.

The prediction was born out of crumminess. It was born out of the mess that the fans created in Denver when they turned on Plummer.

3 season is all it takes.

Who of us is turning on Cutler? Maybe one or two, but the majority of the fanbase?? Some are calling for him to be less of a baby and grow up about the whole trade thing (which obviously now isn't going to happen). But OTOH, you can't entirely blame him for how he's reacting...Cutler is supposed to be the face of the franchise, and the brand new HC and brand new GM just tried to trade him away.

None of this would have even happened if both Shanahan and the entire FO hadn't been fired. To be patting yourself on the back for calling...whatever it is you think you called...is absurd. "Broncos fans" are turning more on the one-month-tenured HC and GM than they are on the most important player in the franchise.

Actually if that McDaniels or Cutler poll is any indication, its apparent Cutler still has a lot of support. Unfortunately we have a lot of closet New England fans that walk among us though.

Same here. I've been 100% behind Jay from the start but I'll criticize him when he deserves it. He deserves it for how he's handling this situation. I'm pretty confident it'll get worked out once Jay sees he has no other choice and I'll be behind him again, but I hope he learns some lessons from this whole fiasco. McDaniels too, obviously.

I live in Chicago, everyone I have talked to want duh Bears to trade for him. I expected to get laughed at and pounded with Cutler sucks and is a whiny b**** but much to my surprise I am only hearing it from Bronco fans.

I think a ton of people here are still Plummer fans and want Jay to fail. I don't think the rest of the league thinks of Cutler as bad as Elway was thought of when he refused to play for Balt. That followed John up until his 1st SB win 15 years later. Who knows how long this follows Jay.

Really, the people who turned on Cutler so far have largely been the ones who were spurned lovers over Plummer.

Yeah, if Im the Bears Id basically offer Denver practically anyting they wanted. Theyve never had a QB like this. Sid Luckman still holds a lot of their records.

And youre right about the Plummer fans. Theyre a sad lot...an embarrassment. Hopefully they stay in Colorado though so they dont embarrass the rest of us.

But don't you think Jay is at least a little justified in how he's reacting? I do think he has gone a tad too far in the "baby" aspect of it all, but hell, for your new coach and GM to try and trade you within approximately the first month? Jay should be upset! Overall, this situation sucks for both sides. And I can see a way to both defend and criticize Cutler for how he's handled it. As for McD and Xanders though, I pretty much only see a poor showing from their side of the issue.

For as bad as our franchise was the 1st 13 years people loved the Broncos holeheartedly. Since the back to back SB's and even Reeve's success they think they deserve to win a SB every couple of years.

It is hard to win in the NFL, ask the Aint's, Lions, KFC.

We were spoiled with QB talent also. Even if they didn't have the love of the game Griese and Plummer had very good if not great years in their time here.

Imagine if Denver trotted out Kyle Boller or had to deal with the # of QB's duh bears have had since McMahon (sp).

Idiot. Just because a parent spanks his kid doesn't mean they don't love them.
We just want Jay to act like a true leader. We still want him and love how he plays. Don't be a douche bag.

Well put.

Just because we're a bit annoyed at how Cutler is handling this one incident, that does not mean we have turned on him!

Please search my 200+ posts since TRADEGATE Broke. I have supported him the whole time.

Both sides could have handled it better.

I felt Jay had a right to be upset. If it was a non-issue from MickyD's viewpoint they should have called Jay and told him "hey we got these calls, we had to look at them because they were so good, no other player would have gotten such great offers, blah, blah, blah, but your our guy and we turned them down, lets talk later after FA period dies down"

Jay might still have been a little miffed but would be compelled to trust them more than the way it actually fell out.
