Jeff Legwold discusses free agent targets and other questions. I like the idea of going after Patriot safety James Sanders. I hope McDaniels/Xanders stay away from signing a free agent running back (I think the inhouse talent and a rb draft choice will be enough) |

And he is in the GM job right now because McDaniels and he quickly hit it off and already have a good working relationship and because the St. Louis Rams were interested in hiring Xanders away, giving him more responsibility than he had as the Broncos assistant general manager.
So to keep him, as well as the way he and McDaniels were quickly able to work together, they promoted him. Am I the only one hearing this for the first time? |

Well we may not have world beaters but we have Selvin, and Torrain, and Pittman, and Andre Hall and Can you hear me now Bell. They are all good RBs. If any of them can stay healthy and strong they may prove to be a starter.... but likely they're all good change of pace backs.

Oh yeah. Nolan's tenure in DC was when good old Norv was in charge there. |

Did lots of people here not watch the same Peyton Hillis I watched? I saw a decisive, powerful runner with excellent vision. I saw someone who punished linebackers and never lost yardage. I know this is bad to say, but if he was black, people would call him the next Marion Butts, but with the ability to catch the pass. But now he's Chris Cooley?

Tatum is the only one of these guys i would like to see come back along with Hillis, and whoever we draft and plus Tatum is a FA. Last edited by BroncoMan4ever; 02-25-2009 at 12:11 PM.. |

i just look at the new coaching staff, and i tend to think that McDaniels is going to decide to get him passes out of the backfield, a few carries a game, split him out to the slot, as a TE in jumbo packages. Sort of a bigger more versatile version of Kevin Faulk. i would be happy to see Hillis be our feature back, but i don't think the new regime will see that. |

I like what Hillis did a alot and would rather he be a RB or FB, not switched to TE. I like Hillis more at FB though since would give you an added dimension to the running game since he can do more than just block and other teams would have to gameplan for that.

I saw Mike Nolan this morning driving in to work in his V8 Landcruiser. Dude looked intense. He almost put his vehicle into the back of mine. I laughed.
