depends how bad..

He doesnt need to prove anything with these workouts. I say he will still be #1 WR taken and top 10 still if teams need a WR.

WE BETTER!!!

Marshall #1, Crabtree #2, Royal #3 and you don't the big worries about him being the return man. You let someone like Crabtree slide by you, even if yo have other bigger needs and you'll regret it for years!

Exactly right. We may have bigger needs, but the talent's just too good to pass up, unless someone put a big offer out there to trade up for him.

As recent history has it, J.Stewart went to Carolina last year at #13 and had a similar procedure- and many of us wanted J.Stewart here last year....

If Crabtree fell to #12, I'd be on the phone with Philly and other WR-needy teams about moving down for extra picks.

It would sort of suck to not be positioned at 12 to take a great defender. But if Crabtree falls and Broncos feel he is a stud it would be stupid to pass him up. If you just keep drafting good starting NFL players you eventually will have a good team. To try to fit everything into a slot, like we need 2 DE, 2 Safety's, A NT etc you end up reaching for a player who won't be good.

Crabtree and Marshall would be a great big WR tandem and make it a nightmare to cover Royal in the slot man to man. An absolute nightmare.

Right now we get big outside by using a TE to pair with Marshall but then you lose the deep ball.

Or you could have a team full of great WRs and RBs. Teams are more than that. Even if he were there at 12, the only value I would see is that he could be trade bait for more D players. But that is just my opinion.

Fact is that the Broncos will do whatever they will do.....

if you are of the crowd that says go BPA then you can't let him get by you because he doesn't fill a need...

kinda reminds me of when Minnesota selected Randy Moss even though they already had Cris Carter & Jake Reed...

if we got Crabtree i'm good with that, but the wise thing to do IMO would be to let a lower team overpay us to get our pick...i'm good with stockpiling picks...

Why is everyone so high on Crabtree?

He isnt near the prospect Calvin was
Plus the fact he played in a pass heavy system worries me a bit.
And also I question his speed
Plus he doesnt have the best hands, can drop easy ones at times

Now the stress fracture.
If he fell to 12 I still would pass

whenever big news hits, i only concern myself with how it affects my team...

and this situation is no different...i want as many offensive players drafted in the top 11 picks as possible to give us more defensive options to choose from...

Crabtree getting injured just lessened his chances of being selected before we draft...hopefully he still gets picked in the top 11...

calvin was arguably the best WR to come out since moss. very few players in the draft will ever be the prospect like he was.

I haven't really watched crabtree enough to argue for him. From what I have read scouts like him a lot.

I watched Maualuga alot though and think he is a for sure above avg middle linebacker. He's really physical which will translate well to the NFL.

He will have to work on dropping into coverage but he seems athletic enough to do that also.

IMO Broncos should look for linebacking in the draft. One we need them, 2 they seem to be ready to play earlier then other picks, 3 there are some really good ones available.

I Like Lauranatis a lot to. I watched him play several times and he makes all the plays he is supposed to make IMO.

Broncos IMO will be be throwing to the RBS more under Mcdaniels so if they go offense in the draft I would expect a RB's will be targeted more then WR.

If you look at Mcdaniels with the pats they had like 1000 yrds to the backs in the passing game.

IMO throwing to the rbs is the last facet of the broncos offense as far as passing game goes. Cutler got it to the WR and TE, but not to the RBS.

Exactly... there is plenty of tape on this guy. If his stock drops it won't be more than a slot or two... The talk of him magically sliding to 12 is rediculous.

40 times are HIGHLY over rated by us part time internet scouts.

This actually works for us, if he falls, teams will want to snatch him up around our pick, leading either to good players falling to us or excellent offers to trade up.

A slow 40, the injury, and the fact that he mysteriously lost almost 2 inches could make him fall some.

If Crabtree falls, he wont fall far, but if he magically fell to #12, i would hope DEN would RAPE a team of their picks, hopefully PHILs 2 1st rounders.
