Dogs are just a different species, and I am not sure why you hold homo sapiens to such high regard considering all the stupid stuff they do

I mean a dog may snap and tear a chunk of someone's skin off, but I have yet to see a dog unload in a crowd of people with a firearm

I don't hold them in high regard. My point was we humans hunt and trap these animals, and because we train them and raise them in society we expect them to react and act the way we do. And as this lady, raises it as a "child". Then when they act like what they are we act truly amazed. We then kill them for acting natural or the way we made them. Your last paragraph is exactly where I was going. The dog does it as his form of protection in a sense, it's what some dogs do in certain situations and sometimes we humans use that agression in a dog to achieve what we want. We are the stupid ones.

the problem woudl really be getting your arms free to do anything...

chimps have incredible fighting instincts...it would grab your arms and try to bite off your face...

unfortunately, most of us have lost fighting instincts like that through years of being told "no biting" or "no ripping off arms"...

Absolutely no fricking chance against a full grown male chimp.

I had a friend who worked at a large zoo, and on a tour she took meet back to get up close and personal with some of the residents, including one of the more well-behaved chimps.

I could not believe it when that thing touched my arm. He wasn't even squeezing but you could feel the power of something with super-human strength. Then on the way out we passed this room where one chimp saw her and threw himself against the plexiglass between them, apparently he was happy to see her. But that window shook like a rino had just run into it.
