Pick the big FAs this year that you think will get franchise tagged.
Kurt Warner - Unlikely but it'd end any contract dilemmas and let the Cards stay year to year with him. Brandon Jacobs - Doesn't seem like a franchise back, but everyone in NY says he's the horse who powers their offense. Can they afford to let him go into the free market? TJ Houshmandzadeh - The Bengals will probably shop Chad Johnson, so to keep the offense in tact they can't let Housh go open market and walk for nothing. Older but then a franchise tag is a great way to hold onto guys like that. Jordan Gross - Best OT we'll see hit FA for quite a while, will Carolina let that happen? Terrell Suggs - Stud pass rusher, will have a huge market but has said he'd prefer to stay in B-more. Bart Scott - potent ILB, and with the Ray Lewis situation in flux how do they resolve these other two LBs? Karlos Dansby - Young, super talented, and versatile. Can the Cards afford to let this playmaker get offers from other teams with no compensation tied to him? Nnamdi Asomugha - stud CB but it'd be his second consecutive tag and he'd be looking at over $14M as a result. Can the Raiders even afford that? Albert Haynesworth - stud DT that the Titans need to keep. Promised they wouldn't franchise him but did that include not transition tagging him? Julius Peppers - The Panthers got to reconsile both him and Jordan Gross. How do they get that done when Peppers tag number is supposed to be ~$17M. Last edited by Drek; 02-10-2009 at 02:36 PM.. |

They can't tag Haynesworth again, it's in his contract.

Lets all just hope that in the next 9 days STL forgets to tag OJ Atogwe. Thats the guy DEN needs the most to fix the secondary. If DEN had OJ going into the draft, it would allow for all kinds of better options.
