Default Cheap Travel?

So a few of my buddies, my girlfriend , and I are going out to Coachella in a few months. When i was in the military i used to be a pro at finding great deals on flights and such... however it has been a while since i've had to deal with that and i was wondering if there is anything new other there that i might be missing.

I instinctively go to cheaptickets.com, lowestfare.com, orbitz.com, and expedia.com, which are all usually in the same ballpark... however, with the way the internet works, there has GOT to be something new out there by now.

No hotels for us, we're camping at the festival.. so we pretty much just need flights and a rental car. Any ideas?

yougothedistance.com

it uses all of the above sights so you don't have to search all of them yourself

You can make it with 44 days to spare.

haha, nice Hef. I actually made that trip last summer.. only we drove and we zig zagged accross the country...san diego to vegas then down to the grand canyon, then the painted desert, then through NM, up through Denver, up to Wyoming, through the black hills and mount rushmore and finally back home.

Walking's cheaper. Unless you count missing work.

Look at flying into Ontario instead of LAX

Check southwest.com. You usually get best prices there. You can also look into flying into Palm Springs/Ontario as already suggested.

so far cheaptickets beats everyone.. the hitch is the rental car.. other sites want at least 40 per day for the car, even as a package!! and that's an ECONOMY car. Cheap tickets adds on the car for less than half of the price of the other sites.. and it's a full size.. ha
