Anybody else in the field.
Software? Production/Manufacturing? Government? Just curious if anyone else went this route in life. |

I transferred into QA (manufacturing) almost 7 years ago. For the past year I have been Qaulity Systems Manager. I have the wonderfull task of trying to implement a ISO certified QMS into a old school manufacturing environment.

Started off in Aeronautical (V-22 and H-1s), moved to Aerospace (Atlas V Rockets) where I dealt mainly with supply chain product assurance. Now I am a Field Support Rep and travel to different locations assisting with surveillance plans, strategies, methods and techniques. Still learning myself, but I am in a very rewarding position that allows me to do what I enjoy most!

Sounds pretty interesting. The best part of my job right now is that I'm a manager without employees. It's fricking great. I get all the benefits from management without having to babysit. I've managed to pull it off for a year now and thanks to the slower economy it might last awhile. I do get to use the QA inspectors for help too, when I need it.
