Default Just for you BCJ, and other scalpers.

Just received this from the Bronco ticket office.

Dear Season Ticket Holder,

Last year the Colorado Legislature passed and Governor Ritter signed into law Senate Bill 24, allowing you, as a season ticket holder, the ability to resell your individual game tickets through the secondary market for whatever amount you determined. On January 14, 2009, Sen. Mary Hodge of Adams County introduced Senate Bill 71 which limits the price at which you may resell your tickets. The bill proposes as follows:

6-1-718. Ticket sales and resales prohibitions unlawful conditions definitions.

(6) A reseller shall not resell or offer to resell a ticket for more than either of the following, whichever is greater:

The face value of the ticket plus twenty-five percent of the face value of the ticket, which twenty-five percent limit shall include profit, service charges, event fees, venue fees, and any other fees or charges; or
The face value of the ticket plus five dollars, which shall include profit, service charges, event fees, venue fees, and any other fees or charges.
We are passing this information on to you as it may have an impact on your ability to resell your tickets. The Denver Broncos and its management have no affiliation with the sponsorship of this bill. If you would like to communicate your opinion regarding this, Sen. Hodge may be contacted at 303-866-4855 or mary.hodge.senate@state.co.us.

Thank you

But it does not show what you can charge if you offer a hot dog and a beer with the tickets.

They're not your season tickets. Apparently, the government owns them.

Like previously noted, put in the auction that you're offering to hang out with the winner as a prize or something that could legally get you off the hook for the extra money over the top

You can place the ad in the ticket section, & say you are auctioning off a t-shirt and the winner of the auction will also get tickets to the game.

Actually if you read the info the Broncos provide, they aren't guaranteed. They can be revoked for any reason, or for that matter, no reason at all.

I especially like this part: "The Denver Broncos and its management have no affiliation with the sponsorship of this bill".

I'm actually allfor it. **** scalpers.

I'm not talking about scalpers. I'm talking about someone who has purchased season tickets, isn't going to the game, but knows that the upcoming game vs. the previous year's Superbowl champions is worth more than the previous week's game vs. the Detroit Lions.

The guy is probably going to be lucky to sell the Lions tickets at face value, but might be able to cover that loss by selling to the highest bidder this other ticket.

The government has no business to step in and tell this individual that he can't sell his tickets for whatever price the market will command.

Crap on Obama all you want (and i love how you probably think he gives more than half a **** about a college playoff system), but he's done more in 48 hours to improve our standing in the world than bush did in 8 years
