Default A moment of Silence for John Engleburger

Well other than Lex I am sure the most disappointed man in all of Bronco Land must be John Engleburger. Remember that Nolan is the guy who traded him to Denver for Middlebrooks and a bag of Cheeto's. John and Jack Nasty might want to think about Splitting a Mayflower truck it looks like their time here is short.

I am not a fan of Engelberger, however I do believe he left it all on the field every down, only problem was that it ALL just wasn't that much...

I don't see him around in a 3-4 defense. He's not strong enough to be a 3-4 DE and not a good enough pass-rusher to be an OLB.

I hope this doesn't look like I am Bashing Engleberger, I actually liked the player. He would have been very good as a 4th end. Not his fault we needed more than he could give.

That is why nolan shipped him out of SF.

That's the truth of it.

He did a good job here in the run game, and did what he was asked to do.

He played with a high motor and ran some plays down from behind - but at the point of attack he was average at best. Powerful OT's were able to drive and turn him with ease. In all fairness, he should've been a 5th DE on a good team and was asked to do far more than he should've been.

I think Chad Jackson is probably thinking the same thing. A 2nd round pick that lasted what, two years... yeah, the writing is on the wall for that guy!
