Default Eddie Royal just became a big time FF player and other offensive nuggets

Royal's Josh McDaniels' new Wes Welker. I imagine Marshall fills the Moss role while Scheffler is the Ben Watson of the group. I'm interested to see how Stokley is used, also Daniel Graham doesn't seem to fit too well into the scheme - it's a big reason why New England let him go. We'll also need our Kevin Faulk, who was a big part of their system. Not too sure where Hillis will fit in as Heath Evans wasn't too involved in the passing game.

You really think McDaniels means a whole new offensive scheme?

You don't think that Dennison and Bates will have any input?

We don't even know if those guys will be kept. McDaniels is going to want to run his scheme.

He may want to, but he's pretty young. Perhaps the powers that selected him did so in part because they can control him.

McD aint stupid. If it aint broken dont fix it. Offense needs some tweaking not a major overhaul.

McDaniels does not have a scheme. He changes what they do based on personnel. Look at 2006-2008. Different personnel, different tendencies, still loves the Kubiak nintendo though! I can not wait for that and a classic Watermock meltdown

Maybe Hillis is our Kevin Faulk?

Hillis brings a lot to the table. He can catch the ball out of the backfield VERY WELL and be that spark plug type in the passing game. As for the running game that Faulk brings, I think you can get that from a number of different players. Looking forward to seeing Alridge back on the field as well.

Graham doesn't fit... you're right.

Stokes will retire soon enough.

Chad Jackson doesn't fit for sure! If anybody is upset at this hiring it has to be him... lol

Marshall cannot bring the same game that Moss brought. If anything he'll be the Welker type with the quick throws and Royal will stretch the field... Honestly though, I expect that McDaniels will come up with something that utilizes both of their strengths. McD doesn't strike me as a one trick pony. He'll figure out something that makes everyone better.

I agree. Plus, we'll have to see who Josh's OC will be - Bates or someone else.

it isn't a guarantee they will be retained in Denver. if McDaniels feels he wants to change the staff out completely or that they don't fit with him, they will be gone and he will bring in his guys. they are going to interview with him for their jobs on this team.
they were kept with the hope that our new HC would want them, but that might not happen.

I do see a role for Daniel Graham on this Broncos team. D.G. is an adequate receiver- nothing special, and if he is catching anywhere from 2-4 balls/game in the short/medium route tree range he is doing as advertised. However, D.G. is one of the premier blocking TE's in the NFL who allows our offensive staff to really diversify the gameplan due to his skilllset. A great insurance policy for teams that really bring a lot of defensive pressure as he can stay in and be your 3rd offensive tackle....

Graham was let go before they went to the spread offense, he will fit the role of David Thomas who the Patriots use quite a bit.

Hillis is a better receiver than Kevin Faulk, I could see him play the Faulk role but be more featured, he has a lot of flexibility, can run and catch.

Offensive line wise this does not look good for Hamilton who I don't think is quite strong enough in pass blocking to fit a spread offense.
