Default So How Long?

Sorry if another thread about the HC spot makes people mad, but I've just been thinking since the giants lost, how long till we have our new head coach? With Spags being out do we now have all of our candidates open to be "formally" interviewed, or open to be hired now?

An announcement tomorrow wouldn't surprise me. We're less from 2 months to the FA period and draft planning needs to get started. We really can't sit on this forever.

To tell you the truth, I bet you Bowlen was in New York today and could be sitting down with Spagnuolo as we speak.

I'm guessing things start to pick up rather quickly and something happens by the end of the week after weighing the final options the next few days.

You assume he wants Spags that bad.

Supposedly they came back to Denver to huddle if we are to believe the reports. Again thats a big if. But no flights have left from Centennial Airport for the New York area today what-so-ever. And Bowlen doesn't fly commercial.

I think he is up there. But I would expect and almost want them to schedule another interview with Spagnuolo now that he can concentrate on the proposal. He is worth seeing if he would be a worthy HC candidate.

OMG!!! The draft is 3 months away and the Broncos don't have a coach to prepare for it!! We're doooooomed!!!

Have the scouts been fired? Has the Combine occurred? Has it even passed the day that all underclassman must declare by? No x3. They'll be fine. This sort of things happens every year, occasionally a team in need of a head coach is forced to wait until even after the Super Bowl to hire the assistant they want, they're ok by the time FA starts.

The guys whose own team brought in a HC over him. Yeah he is one of those that are great X's and O's guys but I think he has a little too much of his dad in him.

All I have read on the Internets has said Spaz has had bad interviews with Denver and Jets and was unprepared.

Well you have to give him a pass though. He was preoccupied with the playoff game ahead. Thats why I think it would serve Bowlen well to at least interview him one more time.
