I'm glad. Clady is getting plenty of headlines and will continue to get more, Ryan deserves recognition as well.

I have rewatched some of our games, I cannot believe how strong Clady is.

Just mobile and quick, I like the arm punch he does.

When was this? I hadn't heard about that. Who did we draft in his place? Hopefully, someone good.

I thought for sure he was going to be a bust. Remembering him playing at ND, I still believe he's going to be a bust an no All-Pro nods will change that!

Seriously though, whoever saw potentional in this guy needs a promotion.

He made SI's Mid-Season All Pro Team prior to his injury.

"In 1988 the Broncos picked Syracuse's Ted Gregory No. 1. He was supposed to be 6-feet-1. When the nose tackle showed up the next day in Denver, coach Dan Reeves, also 6-1, shook hands with Gregory and looked down at him. Gregory's 5-11 frame was traded to New Orleans for another first-round bust. Gregory lasted one season."

Chris Spielman, Eric Allen, Jumbo Elliot, Ken Norton Jr, and Dermontti Dawson went right after him.

REP to the first person who can name A) who he was traded for, and B) where the traded player played college ball.

Touché...

In all seriousness, though, I wouldn't mind our new HC or DC coming in here and blowing the thing apart... I'm actually in favor of a 3-4, and if ever there was a time to make such a dramatic switch, now is it.

With Shanny leaving us (god rest his soul ), One good thing is some of the things that have become problems because of the way Shanny did his business, i.e. "came with the territory", are now gone. 3-4 is possible, re-assess our goal line offense (esp running game), draft emphasis on which defensive position, and overall SIZE/POWER vs. Speed...

It comes down to TEAM first. Performance matters most. Players make the team on performance, not on contracts and status.

A new HC will bring an unbiased approach with clarity. Once the team understands there is new leadership from the very highest level, the entire environment of the team will change, and I, for one, believe it is for team's best benefit.

Congrats to Ryan for performing so well after that shaky pre-season start.

I ragged on him then and have crow to eat.
