Thanks for all the sacrifice, Mike. Thanks for finding TD. If only that one freak injury had not happened, the whole history might have been different. Or Griese's shoulder. Still, I'll always hold Shanahan in the highest esteem as the man who brought the Lombardi to Denver for the first time. The greatest sports experience of my life. Thanks, Mike. ROF. HOF.

Mike Shanahan has made my life a living hell on Sundays.

I appreciate that. You can't have the sweet without the sour. Maybe I can have some sweet, now?

He helped provide the single greatest super bowl in history. Super Bowl XXXII was just awesome on so many levels and Mike was big reason for that. I'm definitely sad to see him go.

People forget that, They may not have been old enough to remember but after suffering through 4 other train wrecks SB XXXII will always be the best SB ever in my house.

I rewatched SB XXII recently. Not pretty. Can't bring myself to watch the other losses yet.

Like I said before, he has left this organization better than he found it. That's all you can ask for. He is a class guy all the way, and I hope he coaches against us the very least amount of times.

Thanks coach for all the memories. I can honestly say with you being in control, the Broncos were the only team I have ever cheered for that I felt totally at peace with all the decisions that were made. I had so much faith in you, that I never felt the need to question a move because I knew you would make the right decision.

The Denver Broncos organization can never be the same without you.

Good luck in whatever you do next.... as long as its outside the AFC West.

Good Luck Mike. Thanks my friend for the Super Bowls and the many ass kickings of the Raiders. Thanks for the early running game and thanks for ensuring John got his ring. If your do not join the Chargers or Chiefs, I will look at you only in the context of the good years, not the recent ones. Deal?

I'm young. I didn't suffer through the tough years, the Super Bowl embarrassments. Honestly, I don't remember a pre-Shanahan era Broncos because I was too young to actually care.

Shanahan's Broncos brought we into my love of this franchise and this league. The Super Bowls, the constant ripping out of Chief fan's hearts, the 1000k rushers...this is all I have ever known of the Broncos. And it has been fun.

Thank you Mike for the memories and for the class you handled it all with. I know the Broncos are bigger than one man, but it will take me a couple years to actually believe it.
