Default anyone NOT want to see josh mcdaniels as next HC?

hes a perfect fit in so many ways, and considering he gets a true DC, which shanny refused to do, it could be a match made in heaven. hes a great OC, we have great talent on offense, we could easily be #1 in all offense categories next year. any objections?

I don't want to see it. We already have our own version in Jeremy Bates. That one has a relationship with our quarterback, too. Bring in an offense guy and you can also kiss Bobby Turner and Rick Dennison good bye. Where is the upside here?

Sorry, but Bates is not in the same building with McDaniels.

I would love this move.
But Bowlen would need to get a good D-coordinator to go with him.

i dont know that anyone would ever fire bobby turner or rick dennison, given that we had production from about 10 backs this year and none of them looked awful. they are much much better then anyone that mcdaniels can bring in, im sure hes somewhat aware of that.

Screw the Patriots and their scum. I don't want anything to do with that franchise. Bob Kraft is Satan. What kind of dirtbag shakes hands with Vladimir Putin and gives him a Super Bowl ring?

I wouldn't be upset with this scenario, though I'd still love to see Cowher come in and build a real playoff-style team in Denver again.

I would be unhappy if Turner left, elated if Dennison did.

I'd still rather see Spags as head coach.

we have an amazing offense now, if we had a great person to coach them, think how good we could be, especially if he finds a good DC to go with it.

I'd prefer Steve Spagnuolo to fix our defense, let the Goodmans keep picking the personnel, and see if we can have Dennison and Bates try to make the offense more consistent.

By hiring New England personnel, Denver lets the enemy win. I respect New England for their football know-how, but I don't want to join them or be associated with them. It's principal.

Considering the recent success (or lack thereof) of Pats Assistants, I'd pass on McDaniels as I'd rather promote Bates if we're going young and offensive at HC.

If there was speculation that shanny wouldnt fire slowik and that is why he got fired, why havent we heard that slowik is out yet. If we let go of shanny and keep slowik, i will no longer be a fan of bowlen. this is tuff news to handle and i dont believe its the right decision, but i'll give bowlen a chance. i'm just nervous that it will be hard to get excited about broncos football for the next 5 years.

This team could be dominant even if it had an average defense, but its tough to expect championships from a pop warner D.

You ever notice that they were all defensive coaches

McDaniel also has the deepest respect for Bill Belicheat and if Bill says he aint ready Josh will stand pat unlike Mangina who went ahead and took the job anyway after being told he wasn't ready.

Pioli is the ultimate hire, the HC is secondary IMO.

QTF

How many Patriots coaches have to fail elsewhere before people stop giving them jobs?

Let's the enemy win by hiring guys from the Pat's??
How the hell do the Pat's win by losing a guy that had a lot to do with their success?
Further more, every NFL team not named the Broncos is the enemy. So what, we're not supposed to hire anyone from the NFL now?

I'm always dubious of hiring 30 year old guys to coach an NFL team. If it goes south, it goes south quickly...

No ... Bowlen fired Shanny because Shanny would not fire Slowick. That's a matter of record now. So relax ... Slowick is history.

I must agree with the thrust of this thread ... sure, McDaniel would be an intriguing HC, but we need an intriguing DC. That's the sticky wicket here.

I want a defensive coach.

The offense could be coached by monkeys and be top 10, we need a defensive mind now.

The Patriots treat their players like pieces of meat. I don't want their organizational philosophies spreading to Denver. I hate their dink-and-dunk offense, too.

This is not any other franchise, this is one of Denver's top five most hated rivals.

It's deeper than just football. Bob Kraft, their owner, is a deplorable human being.
